I've been there when it is 5° outside last winter...and the heaters are amazing. You can be out there with a fleece on and it feels maybe 40°. If it is 40° outside, the heaters would probably make it seem like 65°. Year round, outdoor driving range.
I'm gonna have to disagree on this point. I was there when it was between 15-20 degrees out and even with the heaters it was still way too cold. Our group decided that 30 degrees would probably be the tipping point.
Top Golf is great as a niche place in the winter. In the nice weather I'll take a real driving range obviously. In the winter, only a couple of times a year. I would rather pay $20 to play an hour on a simulator than go to top golf. I can get a full bar and a waitress anywhere, so that is not a perk for me.
Also, while the targets and games are cool, its a little bit screwy because the balls tend to roll all over the place so even a "bad" shot can end up scoring big points.
I will say that their heaters are pretty nice. Cog Hill has heaters and a year round range as well, but the cutoff there is about 30 degrees and that is if there is little or no wind.
