I love the irony of someone making fun of us for "wasting time" watching golf yet that same person takes the time to read threads about golf.

I came across an offer and thought this thread would give the best answer. For the 2016 Open here at Oakmont they have a "volunteer" program. Basically, you pay like $125-150 and you work some hours or something at the open. They set you up with shirt, hat and various other "designer" USGA stuff that you keep. The other advantage is an full pass for any time you are not working.

Seems ok even though I doubt I will end up doing it due to time. Is this standard though for tournaments especially the big ones?

Yes, very standard. They do the same thing here for the PGA which is this year and when the Open will be here in 2017.

woah woah woah, you pay to volunteer? ITs bad enough you don't get paid when you do volunteer work, but to actually have to pay to do it? Fuck that.

Shakes I assume it is some sort of plot to filter out the weird people or whatever and cover costs of outfitting? You get food too.

Tiger's lack of commitment to this point obviously points to his health, game or both must be complete trainwrecks.

I don't think it is a lack of commitment at all, he is constantly playing and practicing. He is a mental midget and it is affecting the entirety of his golf game.

Quit being so damn hateful on this fine Monday, sorry your weekend was so shitty. Maybe you should have watched some golf.

I loved my weekend.

I'm not hateful. I love you.

Golf is a sport to be played, even at advanced age, not watched.

too many people take disagreement as dislike (or worse, hate)

I may disagree but I'm not disagreeable.

I would totally go to the Masters given the opportunity. Do you guys enter the ticket lottery every year?

Mean it moreso as he hasn't 100% committed to playing yet. For various health and mental midgetry reasons, his game must be a trainwreck

I learned yesterday that when pros come to play that they have to have a club member in their group or at least be assigned to a member
before going out if the member stays behind in the clubhouse. Only 3 former pros are members ( Arnie, Jack and another guy who actually
got in for his business dealings ). I figured that if you won there you were kinda a "member" but that is not how it works at all.

IF Tiger ends up playing, I think he would be damn lucky to even make the cut. His short game is what was murdering his game, and you must have an impeccable short game to compete at Augusta.

My mom let me know that Tiger has been spotted at the Augusta airport. I figured he would try to give this Masters a go. If he ends up limping off
the course with another injury I think I will throw in the towel with my Tiger slurping. Would be nice to see him make the cut and play halfway decent.

My contact spoke with the guy who caddied for Eldrick ( his tour caddy walked along and took notes ) and said he hit the ball very well.

Yeah, I should call him "my guy" like Boers and Bernstein, except I actually have a guy on the grounds.
