If you didn’t see it, he practically shanked a tee shot on the 2nd playoff hole. Smacked into the OB trees and bounced back into play.

Just started new season of Full Swing. Is it everyone’s opinion that they are grooming Scott VanPelt to take over for Nantz when he hangs it up at Augusta?

I think for sure they are. He does a good job so I think he would be a good replacement.

I don’t, he doesn’t work for CBS. He is also 58 years old, not quite the grooming age.

I didn't realize he's that old.

That is why I was wondering. He does a lot of coverage during Masters week for ESPN and seems like he would be a natural fit but CBS doesn't really have anyone that could step in and fill Nantz' shoes.

Andrew Catalon gets the weekend’s Nantz is off now.

Started at the Golf Channel, back when he had hair. Long before ESPN.

Hard to believe but Jake Knapp has a putt for 58 at PGA National. No wind, soft golf course and it is in perfect condition.

Not PGA, but what a day. Two aces. -5 thru 3 holes seems like a solid start too

People who say watching golf on TV is boring must be watching NBC's coverage. My lord, there is zero personality on this crew. Kisner seems to have a good personality in interviews but it doesn't seem to translate to the broadcast. Good thing the Illini are on.

I have always thought CBS > NBC for golf coverage. NBC has some good people, but it’s clinical and robotic. Maybe they need to rethink their producers/production overall.

I turned it on and I fell asleep inside of 5 minutes. They should call it AmbieNBC

I swear to my ear I can’t tell Nantz and the NBC guy apart anymore.

I understand it’s more the rule than the exception , but it’s gotta suck to open with a 59 and get chased down and not win .

The Arnold Palmer this week, always a great field and tough course to win on. Definitely be tuning in more than usual. My new wedges arrive today and can't wait to start playing, hopefully before end of the month.

Followed by The Players Championship next weekend. The PGA season is ramping up.

Hopefully it doesn’t get to much rain today as they say the course is perfect. Not gonna be easy.

I will be surprised if 10 players break par today. There will be more rounds in the 80’s than under par if this wind keeps up

Can't wait to tune in after work for some coverage.

Yup. Sometimes the rules of golf can be brutally harsh.

Missed out on back nine yesterday but it’s been a good tournament. I think anyone at -5 or better has a shot. Tough course to go crazy low on, a 66 would be an incredible score on a Sunday.
