Hola,

I am looking for someone that has or has rented the newer Chevy Traverse SUV. 2018 or 19 as I think that was a size/feature change in it. I am considering one as it is bigger, more spacious than some other but not a gigantic Tahoe, Expedition, Suburban.

Thanks in advance for your opinions.

We had the 19 equinox as a rental which is the same thing but smaller. We liked it.

Actually it was probably an 18 but it was still redesigned from the equinox we own.

Check out the GMC Acadia too. Two years ago we thought that was really nice too but wanted a full size SUV.

Yeah Acadia is the same I am pretty sure. I wonder sometimes how much money GM could save by just moving the GMC line into Chevy?

Not if you have to move shit. I saw a Masarati SUV on Warren Blvd in Garfield Park on the Fourth of July.

I looked some cars like your brand, Caddys and Beemers. I still have the need for the extra room for college kids and lifestyle still though.

I would never buy a luxury SUV though. Those are for rich guys wives.

We have a 2010 Equinox and are looking at moving up to the Traverse as well...did it get redesigned? I'll have to take a look the next time I'm in the dealership...I really don't want to have to move up to the Tahoe or Suburban...

Ones we have owned
GMC Envoy- This was our first. Nice looking car. Their four wheel drive system sucked such that it was impossible to park the car with it engaged (turning issue).
GMC Yukon Denali- One of the best cars we have ever owned. It drove like a truck though. Absolutely massive "car" and it has a worthless third row. But mechanically flawless.
Audi Q7- Great driving and looking car. But it ate up oil, which apparently has been a big issue with these cars. We had to dump it before 30k miles.
MB ML400- Nice looking car. Drove great. It was a little soft relative to other German cars.
Jaguar F-Pace- Quite simply the best SUV we have ever owned. 0-60 in 5.1 seconds, and it drives like dream. Turns heads. I highly recommend it.

Yeah it is bigger now and does not look so minivan like now. Car and Driver does a good review of it. The changes were made in 2018. I am not sure if it was a mistake or not but it said the Acadia is no longer as big (length anyway) as the Traverse. I find that hard to believe.

I am with you on the Tahoe/Suburban. Not that I would not like one but no way am I paying 65-75K for a properly set up one. I'll go get a Vette first.

Maybe I should look but I have always felt the Durango lacked quality and drank tons of fuel comparatively.

I would not mind a big Ford King Ranch or top level Silverado for kicks but the laws of supply and demand have made those ridiculous.

they are big piles of garbage. i know a few with them and 1 who loves it but is like with all the repairs he's put into it money wise, he could of bought a honda/toyota and made out like a bandit. his has 170k miles on it and its on its last legs. another has one that is 100k and he's finished. the interior is just a hunk of junk and its got the typical chrysler poor engineering
