Didn't watch a whole lot this weekend but did tune in for a bit yesterday after I saw that Tiger was making a bit of a run. As soon as I started watching
the wheels started coming off and he made five 5's in a row. Nice win for Holmes, he has been through a lot in his career. Announcers were really
complaining about how slow he was playing, I knew that he is known for some of that but that can definitely be annoying to watch. Looking forward to
the WGC event this week in Mexico. HUGE tournament and a fun course to watch them on. Really tight from what I remember if it is the same place.

Cool that Holmes won. I wasn't able to watch the end. Pace of play does need to be addressed.

Yeah, it's not just Johnny Holmes when it comes to slow play. Why do they have to pick on the fat guy?

Three putting from 3' doesn't help with his pace.

WGC Mexico kicking off today. Elite field tournament on an interesting course. They are playing at over 7500 ft altitude so the ball really flies in the
thin air.

As I hear him more often on the NBC/Golf Channel broadcasts, I am really enjoying Paul Azinger more and more.

Tiger WD from the Arnold Palmer Invitational

Quote:
Tiger Woods, an eight-time winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, has withdrawn from this week’s event at Bay Hill Club and Lodge with a neck strain.

Woods announced on his Twitter account on Monday he would be unable to take his place in the field after treatment failed to fix the ailment in time.

The 80-time PGA TOUR winner said his fused lower back is fine and he is hopeful of playing next week in THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass where he is a two-time champion.

“Unfortunately due to a neck strain that I’ve had for a few weeks, I'm forced to withdraw from the API,” Woods tweeted.

“I’ve been receiving treatment, but it hasn't improved enough to play. My lower back is fine, and I have no long-term concerns, and I hope to be ready for THE PLAYERS.

“I'd like to send my regrets to the Palmer family and the Orlando fans. Its connection to Arnold makes it one of my favorite tournaments and I'm disappointed to miss it.”

I am glad the Players Championship has been moved back to March. This is where it belongs.

A sign that he is on borrowed time. Enjoy it while it lasts.

Probably watch some of Arnie's tournament this weekend. Hopefully some big names will bubble up to the top. I saw 60 seconds of highlights this morning on SportsCenter and even though Phil took a double bogey he still shot -4 which I found pretty impressive.

A little surprised Molinari held on to it, but good for him. I keep rooting for Fleetwood to win one of these things... he's so close to winning one. Lots of guys shit the bed on moving day this week.

Hell of a final round for Molinari. Minus 8 and draining the 40'+ birdie on 18 to close it out in style.

I haven't been watching much golf lately...When did they start letting you leave the stick in the hole while putting on the green? I thought it had to be tended.

My guy Rory has had MANY terrible Sundays while trying to close things out over the last year. However even if he were at his best, I don't know if he could have gotten to -12.

Agree on Fleetwood.

I watched a few hours and was nice to see the course playing tough and was in great condition. Players should be really interesting this coming weekend.

Watched quite a bit of the Players yesterday and it was pretty interesting. Course playing a bit slower than it does in May understandably. A lot of pretty good scores even with the wind kicking up quite a bit. Woods had a good opportunity to be a few more strokes lower but made too many mistakes. Looks like pretty good weather until Sunday when it is supposed to rain. I'll likely watch quite a bit of this today and over the weekend. Nice to see Keegan Bradley playing well again.

Tiger had it to -5, then made a 7 on 17.

How did he manage that, two balls in the water?

I wish this was streaming somewhere.

His first shot was actually pretty good. Took a fairly big hop and barely trickled in the water. His 3rd from the drop zone was long and bounded in. That one was a bad shot.

That 7 was his worst ever on that hole.

Hell of a finish brewing, with a softer course and the first page of the leaderboard having a shot.
