I remember that, 1994 to be exact, and the Rockets & Knicks were in the NBA Finals at Madison Square Garden. NBC had the game on a small screen and the OJ White Bronco Chase on the other screen.

Back then, even though O.J. Simpson was a retired football player & actor, there was no doubt in my mind that his trial was more of a hard news story than a sports story.

Well now they have the NFL lawsuit to talk about, so you should have some reprieve.

The Score is notorious for just talking Chicago sports and not even including national teams in its scoreboard updates. Yet somehow these two guys think that this scandal merits hours of conversation every week, including Abbatacola asking if the teams would still shower where "child rape" occurred. What is wrong with these guys? The trial is over why can't they just drop it? Are they acting as though they are the coverup detective champions defending the interests of the innocent against the absolute power of the Penn State football coach?

The Jerry Sandusky trial may be over, Mini Ditka, but the Penn State scandal is far from it. There are many, many layers attached. Truth be told, it's more of a crime/hard news story than a sports story, even though one of the most storied programs in college football and one of the winningest coaches in history in Joe Paterno's name appears very much front & center.

I'm afraid this Penn State scandal needs to be told. If there's one thing I've learned in recent years, The SCORE doesn't listen to fans like us when it comes to who hosts on the radio station, let alone what they talk about. A case in point...A certain evening host who shall rename nameless but is on NBC5 every weekend.
