FYI - Larry is going to have a couple of weather chicks from NBC on his show. Leading up to this event, Larry sounds like a very, very young man who is on his way to a strip club for the first time. You'd think he's been in prison or living in a monastery the past 30 years, and is about to witness his first split tail live, in living color, and well within sniffing distance.

Tune in if you dare. :D

Larry is creepy all the time. 20th Anniversary of raw doesn''t happen everyday.

There needs to be an eternal LoThread... last year or two years ago I think I spearheaded THE PEOPLE'S HOUR LISTENING THREAD, but as you've pointed out.... if you only listen to THE PEOPLE'S HOUR you're missing out on 3 more PEOPLE'S HOURS.

Floyd, can we count on you to make daily show threads, or do we merely need a 2013 Laurence Holmes listening thread?

DAZZLER! MIXTAPE MONDAY! PEOPLE'S HOUR!

it's your time.... it's your conversation.... but it's also mixtape monday so we're going to COLON do whatever laurence wants for the last 60mins.

My late nights at work begin today (tax season, yay!) so I spend quite a bit of time with LoHo. He's not quite as creepy as I expected thus far. Then again, still 48 minutes left of the final hour.

yep, once again in THE PEOPLE'S HOUR COLON WE DO WHAT WE WANT, laurence has a bunch of guests in there... a special co-host... a gimmick.... and of course, save ~3 phone calls this hour, we're going to do exactly what laurence wants wrapped up in the guise of doing what WE want. i love that disparity.

cheryl scott asked laurence if he's ever had a woman on his show b4: laurence giggled. if there's a web-stream, did anyone catch the look of righteous indignation that laurence surely gave her?

SO FOR 40MINS WE'RE GONNA HANG AND TALK ABOUT STUFF.... AND THINGS.... WITH STUFF... AND THINGS. (forceful giggles)

would these strumpets rather catch a small paycheck to hang with chet or laurence for an hour? choose wisely.

It would be an honor to start a daily show thread for Sir's shows.

How does he think anybody wants to listen to him talk awkwardly to a couple of weather girls? This is what amazes me about the guy and why I can't understand how this guy has his own show. It's not like it's two in the morning or something - it's damn near prime time (for some at least), and Mitch carts this goofy creep out every evening??? Amazing!

Just make sure you spell his name correctly in the titles. Leery, not Larry.

OMFG.... CHERYL SCOTT IS A "NERD." WE HAVE A LEVEL 5 NERD ALERT.

this is scintillating backstory... i guarantee if you polled "the people" as to what they want to do in "their hour" hearing the backstories that led these weatherladies to become masters of their craft would be atop the list. this is so much more than a segment to placate his ego. this is "THE PULSE" of the fans.

and btw, while we all sit and hate, laurence just hooked up a 3some ("date") with cheryl and alecia.

and i think the next segment is "ask to mouth" or something? now we have to sway them to cubs/sox stuff?

seriously, IT'S LIKE HE READ MY FUCKING MIND. THIS IS WHAT I WANT*.

* = after 15 mins with ryan "HARD BAKE" baker. the show hasn't been the same since we lost HARD BAKE, cuz after hearing all the top sports stories talked ad nauseum all day long, there's nothing quite like hearing a vanilla sportscaster show up and gloss over them offering no insight, opinion, or soul as he cannot possibly do anything to risk stirring the boat and costing perspective ratings, since we all know that 98% of laurence's audience would turn into HARD BAKE just to strengthen the brand and thus help depaul recruiting.

whoa this last caller out-creepshowed laurence... he stopped, LOL'd, and gave himself props for making the ladies laugh!

these women, meanwhile, are giving us TRUTHFUL AND INSIGHTFUL RADIO cuz when they're asked what they want in a man, they responded humor and personality. ha.

oh and laurence has reminded all of us to stop hitting on the ladies. seriously, that costs $$$. it's quite obvious that laurence is their pimp.

WHOA LAURENCE JUST STEPPED UP AND PIMPSLAPPED THE USAGE OF THE WORD "AX" BY REMINDING US THAT IT'S "A-S-K" AND PEOPLE LIKE TO DROP THE "K" IN FAVOR OF THE "X"

one of these girls undoubtedly had the following look amazement on their face as this was uttered:

I just picture Leery sitting in his height chair, trying to at least be eye level with these leggy weather bimbos, constantly sneaking glances down at emerging cleavage, or leaning to the side and gawking at exposed calves.

This show is like watching your dog hump your pillow.

Leery now making a reference back to his days of dating a cheerleader...just letting these women know he's played in the big leagues before..."I may look, sound and act like a 40 year old virgin, but I used to nail cheerleaders back in high school...and it wasn't because of my height <wink> <wink>"

If they want appointment radio, they should mike these chicks up as they leave the studio. I would love to hear that.

Sir reminds me of a poor man's Aaron Mcgruder. Both are comic book geeks with a militant tendency. Both are short light skinned who try to potray a fake a tough guy act. Although I've heard women say they liked Aaron and he is way cooler than Sir. I'm sure he has no problem getting women unlike Sir who makes the 40 year old virgin look like Dolemite.

Alicia Roman, who does the weather on NBC5's lunchtime newscast with Marion Brooks, joined Cheryl for Laurence's "Mixtape Monday" hour last night. Luckily for Alicia, she hadn't met or worked with LoHo until last night's in studio appearance.

The concept as I heard him desribe it a few weeks ago of this hour on Monday's, is to bring people into the studio who he likes just because he wants to.

No idea why he thinks this will be entertaining for the listener, or maybe it's just a way to show his audience that he knows "celebrities".

You are correct. He did it a week ago with WGN's Marcus LeShock joining him for the hour. Laurence tweeted after having Cheryl Scott & Alicia Roman in studio that they'll be back at some point.

He's supposed to sub for Boers Thursday & Friday alongside Bernstein. I think he's got a little vacation time after that, too.
