i think the combination of your avatar and the ::shrug:: and the post being in "TEH GAME - 87.7" subform = the perfect storm of mediocrity and "devil won't care" attitude that embodies the cosmic experiment in sports indifference that is THE GAME 87.7.

yeah, obviously WGN's goal is to just get up and running ASAP and poach a lot of low-level-"talent" from the 2 established sports gabbers (think of it as a veritable expansion draft for chicago sports talk radio) and then in due time they'll make their big moves, whether it's mac, j-hood, goffralopithicus, or perhaps the biggest fish in the whole damn pond: matt assaholea.

naw just kidding on the last part.... he's a loyal bernsteinian foot soldier who will fight for what he believes in on some vintage pharoahe monch "and if i've got one breath left i'll suck wind from the valley of death" steez.

or well, either that or TEH GAME - 87.7 doesn't want to have the radio equivalent of a napoleonic complex spearheading one of its premier/drivetime shows. maybe if some of those luminaries read this board they'll have learned of my struggle where i got called out on air for being so ignorant that "no matter how much sports [i] watch [i'll] always be ignorant"
