Howard Schnellenberger learned his trade from two of the all-time greats, Paul "Bear" Bryant and Don Shula. He saved football at two proud universities. He launched football at a third. He has sent more than 60 college stars on to professional football careers. His stories about those players and the secrets to his remarkable success are the subject of his new memoir Passing the Torch: Building Winning Football Programs...with a Dose of Swagger Along the Way. He shares some of those stories in an entertaining interview with Elliott Harris and me. Thursday noon central or podcast later in day http://www.talkzone.com/episodes/155/SAT091714.html

I vaguely remember it being a big deal back in '85 that he was going to be the coach of the USFL Orlando Renegades (I think). I also seem to remember that Lee Corso was the Renegades coach.

It still pisses me off that the USFL and Trump got so damn greedy and wanted to take on the NFL, but that's a whole different story.

Pumped with fluid, inside your brain
Pressure in your skull begins pushing through your eyes
Burning flesh, drips away
Test of heat burns your skin, your mind starts to boil
Frigid cold, cracks your limbs
How long can you last
In this frozen water burial?

This is a decent guest. I am a college football fan and you have piqued my interest. However, I do not care for you or your commercials and will not listen.
