Well, they're on the radio more than we are.

The guys who emulate Berns are all career bench warmers.

What about Leery?

What about Larry?

I dont think Loho talks down to callers like Berns and many of the bench warmers.

Apparently they are in negotiations, so I can't see it not happening.

Can't stand him, so this makes me happy.

It's true!

http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/p ... r-mets-gig

Not a bad backup option after missing out on the Cubs job.

I think I've literally hear him speak for merely 5 minutes, ever. Y'all don't like him but you don't like anybody from this Score 'generation'...though that's been mostly accurate, too.

I'm going to put this down as another win for Team Bernstein.

Said this morning he will do 35 games play by play as well. If that is his dream he maybe said no to Cubs.

The tension was palpable. Dan was threatened by his enunciative proficiency and needed him out.

Good riddance!

Terrible show host. Had information, thought of himself as part of the baseball inside culture and to a point he is correct as he did play by play for minor league games. he should be talking to people, seeing people, doing interviews, all in the minor leagues, while the Cubs focused on Minor league development.

Then the guy has a baseball show on the Score and spends his time giving smug remarks to Bruce. Bruce is no looker, he is a rag tag baseball beat writer, a true lifer of what he does, knows tons of people and tons of info...Wayne should have been much better.

Only thing I will say, maybe the guy just didnt want to be a talk show guy and took it for the money and exposure.

Wow. That's a pretty good get for Wayno. Pre and post for the mets and fill in play by play.

I'm shocked Zaidman didn't apply. He's from Queens and he wants to do pro play by play. But maybe he wants basketball and/or football over baseball.

I can actually see Zaidman being the Bulls guy once Funk retires. Funk has to be late 60s, right?

My guy Howie Rose is cutting back on the Mets, too? Seems like Jiggs MacDonald is doing more and more Isles games, but Jiggs is significantly older, and we're not even into baseball/hockey overlap.

Oh, well, bye, Wayne, I'll remember you for saying "1.800.GIVE.BJs."

Yea, he never had any business hosting a show, & he was a condescending jagoff to any caller with whom he disagreed.
Sounds familiar! Good riddance indeed.
