Isn't that exactly what I said? You're relying on what somebody is telling you rather than what you're actually seeing. Corey Patterson was universally projected to do great too. There's a damn good reason why Kris Bryant spells his name with a "K".

Terrible joke.

I'm expecting them to both do better. As young rookies, I'm very happy with the production. Addison Russell looks better at the plate than earlier in the season, and his defense is now as advertised. Kris Bryant is 'doing terribly' and still has an OPS over .800.

I wouldn't say Bryant is "doing terribly". He's just similar to Nick Swisher. That isn't bad. Especially if it doesn't come with Swisher's idiocy. I just wouldn't assume he automatically improves. He's a pretty polished product. He can adjust. But big league pitchers adjust too.

When a Cub player is underperforming it's always chalked up to age. Troy Tulowitzki is 30 and I'll take him over every Cub and Tyler Saladino.

troy tulowitzki is a finished product. saladino and russell are rookies. i'll take the 21 y/o rookie.

Whatever. I remember three years ago when Starlin Castro was "ONLY 20!!!!! He's just gonna get better!" Now you can't dump him quick enough.

y'know, it's funny...there's some truth in that statement...but it only showcases how much young talent the Cubs have, that they don't have any patience for Starlin to battle through a tough, backwards step year.

They brought this on themselves. They should have moved Castro off shortstop a couple years ago but they're so damn stubborn to move guys off a position they clearly can't play. They keep trying to shove square pegs in a round hole and this one bit them in the ass. Better hope it doesn't bite them in the ass with these other guys they're playing out of position.

The kid's got baseball attention deficit disorder. He's not a Theo guy so he'll be on thin ice but I for one think he's a major league shortstop and that he'll be employed elsewhere doing that if he cannot here. He's not Theriot or Cedeno or another Cub like that.

back in the day he could load up on PEDs and hit 40 bombs and no one would care about all the mistakes he makes.

now, cubs need to find a team with no talent, going nowhere, willing to take a risk the guy can revive his career. wonder where you could find a team like that...

But if he had continued to hit .300 he would be and Theo would be taking the bows for locking him up long term with a club friendly deal. As it is, Theo has to wear that contract.

  bernstein could inject motherfuckers with cancer and he'd get to keep his job and get a big raise. Quad City Shitty makes a little tasteless joke about cancer and his entire life is destroyed.

Sure.

He was inundated with messages from the likes of Beardown after you posted that.

You ruined his life. Just own it.

Beardown never actually does anything on other social media sites. He just hollowly asks for others to do his dirty work, which is never done.
