JR is getting old. Isn't it tax avoidance if he passes on while still owning the team?

If I'm Illinois and I"m no longer a corrupt crook then why should I extend the lease once it expires?

The cost of maintaining USCF exceeds rent payments. The debt payments exist whether the building is occupied or not. Sunk cost so those shouldn't factor into any decision. The lease could be extended but whoever owns the White Sox then won't play at UCSF unless the sweetheart terms are extended.

A larger ROI would be attained by knocking the building down and selling all associated land.

Oh, you're being ridiculous. It's a perfectly acceptable stadium.
