Memphis is Egyptian

There is much more to Achilles than being dipped in the Styx

This is one of the most puzzling posts you've ever made, although the second line would make a good fortune cookie.

I'm going to guess that Lawrence decided to belabor some ancient Greek point to death, which would be funny because, as GD pointed out, Memphis was an Ancient Egyptian, not Greek, city. Maybe Lawrence was thinking of Syracuse?

Caught the very beginning Larry's show yesterday. The original post is referring to his half-assed comparison of the Memphis Tigers to Achilles (who was, according to Larry, "dipped in invincibility"). He then went on to tell us that Memphis was named after a Greek city...or maybe it was Roman. He couldn't make up his mind. Truly "sigh and shake your head" radio.
