I believe I have always referenced golf as an athletic skill and not even a sport per se. I don't believe it should be in the Olympics.
As for the walking, I do prefer to do that and can be challenging depending on hills and humidity, but you are right that it's far from an
Iron Man type undertaking. It takes a balance of hand/eye coordination, balance, and strength to hit a golf ball well, but you don't have
to be a great athlete to do it well. Just takes a lot of practice for most, including myself. I've played for 35 years and still learn something
new about the game every year.
