It's still a work in progress between 10a-Noon weekdays on 670 AM. I'm not sure who will sit in tomorrow with Laurence, but I thought I read on ChicagoSports.com that former Bear & ex-WGN 720 co-host Dan Hampton is scheduled to sit in with Holmes Thursday. It seems like a safe bet that Laurence will follow "Mully & Hanley", but it remains to be heard if he'll have a co-host or if he'll fly solo like he's done previously on "The SCORE".

Anyone know if Holmes will keep his Bears reporter job or will Jesse Rogers/David Schuster fight for that ?

I hope that he gets replaced on his Bears pregame shows, where he does nothing but replay sound clips from earlier in the week.

Horrible.

Now way. If he's doing the 10-12 shift he won't be the Bears reporter.

They'll give it to Jesse or Shuster like you said.

Plus they have Zach too. Score has 2 covering the Bears while ESPN 1000 has one. Part of it is Zach works for the Bears with his WBBM coverage.

I tend to think Zach Zaidman will take over as the full time Bears' reporter at "The SCORE", and continue to roam the sidelines when Jeff Joniak & Tom Thayer start a new season of Bears' football on Newsradio 780 WBBM & the Bears' Radio Network. I also have a feeling that Laurence will be back to host 670's own Bears' pregame show this fall in addition to his new 10a-Noon show during the week. David Schuster will also work on the Bears' beat, but the Bulls are his #1 team for SportsRadio 670.

I would like to see Fred back moderating that show.

Personally, I preferred the Governor to the team of Zach and Larry, but I got the impression that Kerner was just getting tired of reporting at the score, waiting for one of the daytime hosts to die, and doing the odd weekend show. I can appreciate that now that one of the hosts have "died", grabbing the guy who was doing the most evening and weekend shows at the time was a reasonable idea.

But, hell, Jesse's done a lot of solo shows too, and no one would put him in a permanent weekday slot. Hopefully somebody in charge is reading...

are you comparing holmes with Jessie? Cause if you are, even though they are two completely different people, I agree with your assesment...

I didn't think for a second that Dave Kerner ever grew tired of reporting at "The SCORE", but the sportscaster nicknamed "The Governor" was shifted over to Newsradio 780 WBBM, along with Mark Grote. The two sports anchors/reporters were shifted in a corporate move with 'BBM & 'SCR's parent company CBS Radio a few years ago. Dave & Mark's moves were beyond our control...
