Downey or Slezak? I have not read a downey column in atleast three or four years, SLezak over a year.

Slezak seems to write these "this offends women" at the bequest of her editors, not necessarily writing her POV (or, not always...)

Downey seems to spout stupidity without external fiats. And they put him on the front page.

Downey for sure. When he first started I kept reading him because I was shocked that he could actually be that bad as one of the lead writers. I figured the first couple bad columns were flukes. I was wrong. He's embarrassingly bad.

Downey's awful...how he keeps his job with a major newspaper must involve a compromising picture of a goat and his boss...Jay ranks second. Couch is good SiD, imo...but he gets stuck carrying some stupid things...

I'd have to put Jay before Downey because he's an asshole. Downey's just a poor writer.

maybe I should be more mad at the Tribune than Downey...he's just a really bad writer, whereas Jay is just an ax-grinder...
