Longtime morning radio news anchor Pat Cassidy is leaving his post at WBBM-AM (780) to accept a new position as a talk show host on WLS-AM (890). Cassidy has been at the former WMAQ-AM (670) as morning anchor until moving to WBBM when WMAQ became WSCR in 2000. It is not yet known when Cassidy's show on WLS would air.

If WLS-AM doesn't renew Don Wade & Roma's contract this November, the smart $$$$ seems to point at Pat doing morning drive or New York's old fart Don Imus via syndication if bosses of Citadel Broadcasting, the former ABC Radio, have their way...
