He certainly has gone to great lengths over the years to fabricate an elaborate back story, but at least we know that his high school years were spent developing some solid credentials for a future as a comic book nerd.

I don't recall exact words. He definitely would say he played club at college and had an Expos try out of some degree.

Yep he has said these things multiple times. I dont recall him saying exactly that he played at HF, but it has definitely been inferred over the years. Was there such a thing as intermural baseball in those days maybe? I bet it is something like that.
