He owes his entire career to Jimmy Johnson. Got him the Bears job in 93 cuz everybody thought he was great. Jimmy made the Dolphins hire him after he quit that job. Then he got hired at Pitt because he was a Pittsburg guy. Whatever. Terrible coach. I believe he's stupid as well. Like in life. I don't think he knows common sense shit.

He's made millions. And his wife guides him through life as he drinks and has no clue about the world.

Now I hear him on the fucking SCORE.

Let's play a game. What does Wannny know? You guys all chip in. For example...

If you asked Dave how many states there are in the United States he would pause... and eventually say 50. But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on this one. If you asked Dave how many United States Senators we have he would have no fucking clue and say "Ahhhh, can we get back to football"

I've got more shit. I'll let you guys chip in. What common sense shit does dumb ass Wanny not know? Go!!!!!

You already tried this lame ass tactic to run Wanny down in my shoutout thread.

viewtopic.php?f=100&t=124096&hilit=wanny

You remain an idiot and Wanny remains great!

I don't read every fucking thread. This was just my thought on this idiot. Everybody should agree that Wanny is an idiot. You obviously love him, which means you're a dumb ass like him.

Back to my topic...

Dave wouldn't know that 32 is the temperature of freezing if you asked him.

Dave: Ahhh, who the hell knows that, let's get back to football.

Beardown: Dave, who was the first President of the United States?

Dave: I have no idea. Nobody knows that answer. Let me tell you about me being on Jimmy's boat.

Wanny is a surprisingly good tv and radio personality. His football analysis is solid and he is likable in a Doug Buffone sort of way. Far from the perpetually exasperated Wanny running his hand through his hair as he walks the sidelines in confusion

Wannstedt is the second best coach (behind Lovie) of the post Ditka era.

Wannstedt has an engaging personality and is such an entertaining storyteller that he can even make segments with Turbo Douches like Parkins, Speigel, and Holmes seem enjoyable.

Just because he was an average head Coach does not mean he is not awesome on the radio. I love to listen to him. He is a great story teller.

What coach fills out the tallest-midget podium?

I couldn't stand Wanny the coach.
TV/radio Wanny is good....he's a goof and he knows it and kind of laughs at himself nowadays.

Going into halftime of a Pitt Panthers game the sideline reporter asks Wanny " what adjustments do you need to make at halftime to get back into this game?"
Wanny " run faster"

It's that simple. He's an entertaining radio guest and he knows a ton of people. It was really great when he would regularly tell Parkins he doesn't know anything about football, which is true.

There are probably too many coordinators to rank and I can't even pick for OC there have been so many bad ones, but for DC it's Mel Tucker. I remain shocked he briefly resurrected his career.

I tried to rank the coaches in my original post, but was quickly overwhelmed with the suckage and was forced to abandon the exercise.

Wanny is interesting that he landed on his feet in Chicago sports media after being pretty much a failure as a Bears coach.

He's the polar opposite of the Scores gay themed hosts. He offers a likable personality, storytelling based on actual experience, many friends in sports, and actual sports opinions not based on SJW bias.

A total contradiction to the Scores woke hosts who offer theories, philosophies, or what they've read about sports.

Correct.

Wannstedt is beautiful. I love his work on pro-Football Weekly. He comes off as kinda dumb but I love it

He's funny, sort of all over the place, and probably wouldn't pass a fact check. He's also the opposite of most of the current hosts.

Bernstein was attempting to use Wannstedt's comments about Ben Johnson not coming to the Bears as someone having "informed' conversations and who knows everyone so listen closely when he tells you things.

Hilarious and sad that Wannstedt is being passed off as some insider. He knows people, yes. I don't think he's looking for scoops though. The guy is enjoying his life. Makes me question what else people like Bernstein try to peddle as inside information.

Agreed -- Wannstedt is as entertaining as hell. I'm much more interested in entertainment on the radio than the minutia of football strategery.

The best is when Wanny has TOny Wise on as a guest in an extended segment. Those guys are gold together. Look forward to him on when the Bears add some legit O Lineman this offseason.

And as the above poster also stated RIP to Dick Jauron.
