A month ago, the Cubs were upset about an article that Paul Sullivan wrote. Sullivan and Hendry got into it, but no big deal. Then there was a meeting with McFail, Sullivan and Dan McGrath. McFail criticized Sullivan and his entire journalistic career. I guess it showed up in Michael Snead's column today.

So, the perception is that the Cubs think they can control their coverage from the Tribune. I recall B&B referring to this situation a few weeks ago (of course in their veiled terms).

Basically the Tribune is mad that the writers aren't more biased towards the Cubs, even when they need a prayer to come close to winning a game.

Funny to hear Stone really lay into the Cubs and McPhail/Hendry in the Comcast pregame, maybe they should be more concerned with the actual team rather than confronting the journalists for not being biased. Truly a sign that not only could they care less about winning, but they'll do nothing about it once 30K+* fill up that stadium for every home game.

*Attendance is tickets sold, I wonder how many of those tickets sold were ones bought by the Cubs themselves, you know, their scalping service
