What a turd this guy is. First he defends the cubs giving Rusch a two year deal. Then he says that if the cubs get rid of him it will come back to haunt them. Many thought it was a mistake at the time to sign him. He sucked last year and caught lightning in the bottle in 2004. How will releasing him hurt the cubs? He also says it is unfair to be suspicious of today's players using performance enhancing drugs because of the steroids scandal. What??? Unless baseball commits itself to cleaning it up, suspicion of anyone is somewhat justified. What a shocker. A guy who makes his career off of baseball is afraid to crticize anything to do with it. He should stick to reporting.

The NFL is the one to worry about HGH. They don't test and have no intention of doing so.

I think every major sport has big problems with HGH.

I believe Levine writes for the Vineline, which is a Cub publication. Just like the Trib and WGN there is an inherent and unstated conflict of interest in all of his work. Bruce has no crediblity with me. Instead of getting angry I choose to ignore him.
