I understand there's only so many topics a sports show can have. Most of it is just breaking down games. Shows can be similar in that regard.

But Larry just takes Bernsie's "out side the box" thoughts with no shame and acts like he's come up with some original observation. He's on with B&B alot and has heard them discuss it. Plus he listens on his drives to and from Lake Forrest. So Bernsie provides programming for him. But who's he fooling.

Today he tells his producer "Right this down. For a future show I want to discuss why people hate Rex so much. I just don't get it. I also want to discuss why people refer to the Bears, Sox, and Cubs as "We".

Cmon Larry these have been Bernsie talking points for months with Grossman and years with the "we" thing. Even when Larry comes up with his own thoughts they are usually simple and he does a long set up like he's discovered something. "Today we're going to discuss someting that has never been discussed. Race relations in sports." Yeah Larry nobody's brought that up before.

I know you're just trying to kill show time and probrally know the answer to the "we" thing but let me explain it. I refer to Chicago teams as "we". I am very aware that I don't play for them. It's no big deal. Just a natural reaction showing I have a connection to my teams. Let's not make this a big deal. The Grossman thing is weird. It's just meat heads still clinging to Orton love so they have to hate Grossman. That's my only answer.

It's just Lawrence trying to have intelligent talk, that's all. He's like Bernstsein in that you'd think he's a rocket scientist sometimes - but really, he's just a sports talker, and that's just the reality of it, no ripping needed/added.

I say we because I own a percentage of the Bears, Sox, Bulls and Blackhawks...fuck the Cubs. I used to own a percentage of Der Sting until Karl Heinz Granitza skipped town owing me some money.

BD, I'm all for intelligent original thoughts from the radio guys. Let me know when Larry has one. I was just referring to the fact that as Larry was speaking on the air he acted like he stumbled upon something great. When in fact Bernsie has been on these topics for a while. It's just shameless on Larry's part. Larry we do listen to other hosts besides you. You can't get away with it.

Beardown - I'm actually agreeing with you, just did so in a sarcastic way since, as you said, when Holmes hosts his own show, he introduces his topics like this is the first place you've ever heard this discussed.
