One good thing is that I got to see "HASS" in that issue. Beth Hassenmiller, I often got the challenge to practice with the Womens team at Depaul in scrimmages and got to cover Hass. First time playing her, she got a rebound and sent an elbow into my chest harder that any guy ever did. I was stunned....Game On!...but it's a chick...ugh

Permanent vacation anywhere but the score. J Goff to Atlanta but Larry still on air on WSCR. Why? Comic books? Mommy? Teary? Who knows?

It would have been nice to see Goff get the 6 PM timeslot.

May I defend Larry again here. dont think he is gay, but he has the worst game ever!

He is like the kid who comes to play hoops. Knee pads, Elbow pads, goggles, head bands, top of the line hi tops, sweatbands...and cant play at all! Got every tool they make....no score

If he's not gay this is what he does.

He knows he's not gonna get the hot chick. So he tries to act like a pussy around them so they realize right away he's not trying to hit on them and thus they just think of him as one of the girls. So then he can at least claim that hot girls talk to him. That's really enough for him. So his "Game" is to prove that he's a pussy. I know. It's weird. But that's Larry.

100% and this is the semi guy I can't stand! The guy who is just "friends" with the girl(s) he is in love with. Encountered this a few times in life. Sitting around one night Me, the GF her roomie and their 'friend' PHIL. The girls get excited because some band is coming to town, Phil screams with them and I had to ask "Phil, what's your deal? Are you gay? Or in Love with Dayna? Jen? or Both and you know neither would go out with you so you just hang around, play the role of the best friend and bash the dudes they date?"....Needless to say. the night was over...lol

And don't think for one second that these NBC 5 women don't know that is what he's doing. Women know. They also think it's weird. But they might also think it's better than him actually hitting on them. Another thing: Larry isn't "friends" with Cheryl Scott. They both work at NBC 5 on the weekends. That's it. Of course they'll have polite conversation cuz, like I said, Larry is good for that sort of thing - he's one of the girls. He'll talk about baking cookies, sugar, spice and every thing nice. He'll do is phony "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha" at Cheyl's jokes. But they're not friends.

Cheryl needs somebody to talk to at the station. A lot of time to kill before she does her 5 minutes of weather. It's not like she wants to talk to Dick Johnson anyway. Who the hell wants to talk to Dick Johnson? But friends would hang out together. I don't think Larry is hanging out with Cheryl Scott.

Kerry Wood, Rich Harden, and Charlie Furbush, and that's just in baseball.

There are 1 of 4 thoughts going through a single women's mind when they meet someone and size them up. Larry always knows it's #2 with him.

1. He knows he's gonna bang me. (He's right. He is gonna bang me.)

2. He knows there is no way in hell that he will bang me. (He's right. There is no way in hell.)

3. He thinks there might be a chance that he can bang me. (He's right. There is a chance.)

4. He thinks there might be a chance that he can bang me. (He's wrong. There is no chance.)

So a conversation at NBC 5 before a broadcast would go like this:

Larry: Hey Cheryl, I like to bake cookies. Cookies are sooooooooooooo good.

Cheryl: Really, like, me too. I like cookies too. That's so awesome!!!!

Larry: Neato. Hey Cheryl, wanna listen to some music before the broadcast. This one is my favorite.

Cheryl: Like, Ok.

Larry: (Plays: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UJwFO4l74yY

Cheryl: Hey that's my favorite, too

Larry: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Cheryl and Larry: (Skip around the studio to the song.)

Not gay, just inept and reeking of desperation.

We all know Holmes is annoying, who here thinks he might be a bad guy? There seems to be a lot of hostility from him.

There was a Laurence sighting on NBC5 last night, while Rebecca Haarlow (!) was actually in studio co-anchoring with bumbling, stumbling Mike Adamle on "Sports Sunday". Laurence is actually off 670 The SCORE all this week, but he's doing a lot of Spring Training Reports for the NBC Universal-owned outlet from Arizona.

I don't think it's a big deal that Larry is gay.
I do think it's a big deal that he no longer talks to Todd Bridges.
I guess he could never figure out what he was talking about.
