As I said in another thread, I think the RSNs have stopped lying to themselves about having to produce anything other than their destination programming. There's no reason to have Adam Hoge and Matt Spiegel sit in leather chairs and have mildly spirited conversations about the Bulls in exchange for steakhouse gift cards, there's no reason to do a local version of SportsCenter, or Gas/Beer/Weed Money, whatever. Just show new games, replays of the new games, and old games. If there are still hours to fill, grab those puff pieces the teams produce on their websites and run those. There's no reason to run these channels as full-fledged broadcasting outlets because no one cares. It'll be interesting to see how much new Cubs-adjacent programming Marquee ends up not producing.
that is exactly how they should be run. They have three teams to choose from, too.
I can't see it happening though. They just don't have the balls to be ESPN Classic 3/4 of the time.
