George is worse than Bruce Levine?

Now that is saying something. One looks like Frank Oz, the other whines his way through his updates.....

Sadly, this town sucks for radio coverage of the teams. Shuster is tolerable.

Coppock hates Ofman and Levine and Spiegel and Bernstein and Rosen and Teinowitz and Silverman and Stone and, believe it or not, Holmes.

Levine reports stories.....Jack Ofman sat in an 'Update Studio' with his pants around his ankles speculating about things he had zero inside knowledge of.....

Levine obviously has lot of sources....Ofman was busy matching wits with JESSE ROGERS!

Can we stop with this Levine love already? The guy is a cheap mouthpiece for athletes and managers in this town. He sucks up to them in exchange for their attention and always stays on the side of providing favorable coverage.

I like my speculation and innuendo when it's based on a word from "the peeps" and is heavily laced with "eeee"s.

Bruce Levine is a miserable Caller Bob. His voice makes me want to beat small children.

Bob, that money is over and above there salary from the Score.

This has been a great source of income for Grobber over the years.[/quote]

You gotta file a lot of $25 game reports for this to be a great source of income.

What's the difference between him and the rest of the losers on the radio like Mac, Shuester, Boers, Ranger, ZZ, Mully and the rest?

John, on the weekends these stringers are all over during Baseball and Football season.
What if Grobstein has 30 stations Nationwide?
He's making more than his gas money to Wrigley or Soldier Field.

I've listened to Levine a few times and liked him. Maybe that's just showing how pathetic baseball talk is in Chicago. I am use to murph so when I first listened to Levine and the guy actually talked baseball without gimmicks and skits, it was quite refreshing.

As for offman, got me thinking, didnt he once report Bob Hope had died but he was still alive back in the late 90s.

That somewhere, this myth that Levine is 'better' than them crept in; and I've yet to hear him report a story that I didn't see 20 minutes earlier on the ESPN website, the Sox or the Cubs own website. Yet the mindless sheep of radio fans think he's "out there" getting the story, when really?

He's logging on like the rest of us; but because he gets to talk to a handful of players who like him he can add that "personal touch" to the story.

Like I give a care about what is on Zambrano's radio when asked about breaking the Gatorade dispenser....

Was the Dewey Defeats Truman Tribune sponsoring the "Update Studio" then?
