North's ratings history at the Score and Comcast, the colossal failure of Dontfademe, the Webio disaster, all the shit we've talked about here for years, etc., etc., etc. are all public knowledge and we all know these stories quite well, as does anyone in the industry who can read the English language. I can only conclude that these broadcast execs who keep giving this guy new shows are aware of something that we here don't know. There is some hidden magic to Mike North that mere mortals like us here on this board apparently can't comprehend, so I have come to the conclusion he is an absolute god--a divinity. There is almost a surrealistic, a religious aura, if you will, to this entire concept of Channel 2 approaching this turd after all this and saying, "Yeah, you're the man, be our morning guy." He's got to be divine and I am now a believer. Praise be to Mike North. Don't be surprised if you see a shadowy figure walking across Lake Michigan tomorrow morning--yep, it'll be Mike North.

hey hate or love North, you got to give him credit for one thing, he knows how to take care of the big wigs and to do favors. Because with guys like this, a favor is never sincere, it's always kept as a tab for future pay back. Buy hey, that's how the business world works right, so at least the guy has some brains knowing how to rub the right people the right way. "First of all, what we're doing doesn't work. To me, that was the easiest part of the decision," Cohen said. "We needed to do something different and we needed to do it in a way that was innovative and that we can execute at a high level consistently. To do that, we had to make a big commitment. ... So we're going to do our darndest to make this work."

I congratulate Mike. This might be just the vehicle to get him back on track since he most likely does not have production control. He will not have to concentrate as hard on sponsorship or production. He won't be talking about politics or current events. He will not even be required to carry the show. Mike will be back to doing what Mike does best, being a wild card sports talker.

I have no doubt you will see Jiggles with an associate producer credit and Be Be with a producer credit. Neither will have substantive input on the day to day production of the show.

Good luck to Mike. It looks like he weathered the storm during this recession.

More power to pappy for keeping his head above water, he is doing better then the guys who are unemployed partially because of him, that is where my problem lies with him. Just because he wrote a 500 check one time to a few people doesnt get him off the hook for fucking up peoples life because of his lack of checking out DH. Pappy just went from comcast and a decent time slot to the worse news station in chicago and got put in the 5am-7am slot....thats a step down, no matter how u look at it.

Bigfan has said it and i agree with it, give up total control, get back on the radio and I am all for it, at some point he is going have to do it.

I'll give you this much Scorehead, you are steadfast in your opinions. I don't agree with your thoughts, but you seem like a likeable guy. Agree to disagree when it comes to North.
