Fact remains I listen to WSCR 50% less when I hear Larry talk. I almost never tune out due to his presence, but PTFB due to his comments and thoughts. Fake, Pompous, Disingenuous, Egotistical is what comes to mind.

However, Larry is the cheapest fill in option at the Score because he is bought and paid for, thus no extra $$$ when Larry fills in. Only need to pay someone to take his night slot which is much cheaper.

Were there a bunch of Score people around to witness this with their jaws dropped in utter shock and disgust? Did Mitch Rosen, on behalf of the Score, personally apologize to the couple for Larry's behavior?

I wasn't partaking, but I heard Grote on Saturday morning. He thought the Murphy bashing was excessive at the party -- and I don't believe he said the shots were coming from just one person.

My source, who I already told you is 125% reliable, told me they had to be bought off. Word is, favors of a sexual kind had to be paid. I won't say any more, other than it involved a goat.

Yeah. This thing was just a glorified extension of the B&B show. Bash Murph and North and praise what the Score is today. Which is heavily influenced by Dan Bernstein. In other words, this was a bow to Dan Bernstein thing. Drinky hosts and the rest of Bernstein's soldiers go up on stage to say how the Score once sucked, but now it's great. That's why Larry took the opportunity to expose Murph as a pot head. It was done to impress B&B.

I suspect that the "no shows" to this event were a symbolic protest to the current state of the Score. Maybe they were saying we don't like being said "Fuck you" to by "Team Bernstein" and we don't like the "Fuck you radio" that Bernstein has started and spawned in Goff, drink and Larry.

Who were those "no shows" from the current Score staff, by the way?

Im sure once somebody took one over the line shot at Murph all the hatters took the gloves off.

He's a weird guy who lends himself to being mocked but it IS a little excessive sometimes.

Especially at a celebration

The whole refusing to acknowledge or begrudingly acknowledging that North was a big part of the Station is pretty consistent.

See Bernstein and his clones dont see it like...

North and the old guys took some huge risks, worked their ass off and made this place possible for us

They think more like...

Thank God we got here to rescue this place from the collection of morons it is. (See Bernstein's ridiculous reasoning for the ratings shift. Not that the way they do the ratings book changed, but because they do smarter radio)

It is what it is. Im not even saying its 100% wrong but thats how it seems.

Beardown: The funny thing is Larry is reading this thread and still has no idea what he did wrong.

Larry: Damn right on that one. I didn't do anything wrong.

Beardown: That's how delusional, arrogant and insane you are. You think that this girl, upon meeting you for the first time ever, should have ditched her date for the night and spent the rest of the night with you. Or you thought that this guy should have given her to you because you're Laurence damn Holmes.

Larry: Right.

Beardown: So there's no talking to you. It's just amazing. You'd think somebody from the Score would put you in check but you would just call them racist if they did. That's your trick, isn't it?

Larry: Baby!!!! It works.

Beardown: It will catch up to you. You can't behave this way forever without somebody with a backbone and perhaps some influence calling you out. Is that why you always kiss B&B's asses?

Larry: Fuck you, cracker!!!!!

Beardown: Yeah. I know. I know.

I would have paid $100 to see all of the ex Score guys who didn't show up the this event.

It's easy to see how this could possibly happen.
1. Alcohol was flowing -- so liquid courage might have been at a premium.
2. It was promoted as an adult event, allowing Score personalities to work blue.
3. Murph was not in attendance -- allowing the cheap shots to freely flow.

Is it a shock to anyone that a hippie, bleacher bum from the sixties who chose to never join corporate america might smoke up? This isn't news and I don't think Murph hid from it.

Many at the station refuse to acknowledge it but Murph was pretty popular with the fans even up to the point he was let go. They desperately want us to dislike him as much as they do but it just has not happened.

Murph is better than Larry 100% of the time, this isn't even debatable.

This is debatable, because you are wrong.

The expression "Hide the women and children" probably comes from some character like Larry from a long time ago. Like some cowboy in the American west of the 1800s who would ride into different towns looking for women and trouble in saloons. Looks like Larry road his horse to Elk Grove in the same fashion.

By the way, when this weird moment took place, did anybody have the guts to say "What's wrong with you, Larry?" I'm talkin' some listener cuz I know nobody from the Score would say anything. They've enabled him for years and it looks like because of that, he's getting worse.

Wait a second. I think I just figured it out. This was Spmack's date that Larry was hitting on. It was Spmack that Larry copped an attitude with upon realizing it was his date, right?
