I agree. Silvy and Waddle will do better than CJH. Not that hard to do better than 17th place. I'm sure they'll be top 10, but they won't beat B&B.

Silvy has an advantage. CJH never knew what B&B were doing. Cuz they obviously were going against them. I'm sure Silvy listens to B&B. He knows what they do. He knows they're number one, so he might be smart to steal their shit. Ya know, be mean, crude and rude. Do sex jokes. Discuss unconfirmed rumors. Make up rumors. Piss on famous athletes that most people like. Problem with that is maybe ESPN won't allow it. So Silvy's gonna have to convince his bosses that "Fuck You" radio wins. They still might not allow it.

I often wonder what the ESPNers think of B&B. Like does Silvy have a reaction when he hears Bernstein telling callers to go fuck themselves.

If they stick to what they do now, they'll be more successful than if they try to "counter-program" B&B.

Right. But CJH tried to be the "Good" in the "Good vs. Evil" game. It's clear "Good" is always gonna lose. Chicago loves "evil" in afternoon drive. It's been proven.

I was wrong. I've been saying B&B have gone too far with their shit over the last few years. It's clear they haven't. Chicago eats it up. They've never been more succesful in the ratings then what they are now.

Well, it's what he's gonna have to do. I know it's against his nature. I know he's Mr. Nice guy. But Silvy has to scumbag himself up. It's the only way to destroy B&B, save ESPN 1000 and restore civility to sports radio. Once he beats them he can revert back to his true self. This "Good" sport talk that you all speak of. Waddle won't help. He just wants to go threw the motions and collect his check. It's all on Silvy. If not, it could mean the end for him just like it was for Harry. I don't want to see B&B take out another one!!!!

Not true. That Sarah Spain and somebody else have been doing Sundays the past month or so.

Lupica said this was his first Sunday show and that it will be heard on all the ESPN affiliates.

It's a new month. Maybe it's Bristol's new quarter. Keeping Score said it was a national show on Friday night.

Things happen at the beginning of new quarters in corporations as all of you know. That's when change is implemented.

Maybe a memo went out this past week from corporate to the local affiliates of whom they want fired and that they want to cut local part timers for more national programming. That's not too far fetched to think might have happened.

Yeah, in same spot that Huebner/Levine are doing now with the hot stove talk. That Kincaid guy out of ATL was running SAT/SUN for a while, then the replaced him Dari/Mel and the Coleman show. Hardly a paradigm shift adding Lupica.
