If it means anything, Holmes won't be on The SCORE after White Sox/Indians tonight. Thanks to the Sox playing on Eastern Time this week in Washington, tonight in Cleveland & next week in Toronto, Holmes won't be on after baseball. His EP, Joe Ostrowski, follows the Sox this eve.

Oh, and I'd be remiss if I didn't helpfully correct a few of you.

His name is Laurence. Laurence

I wonder how good his chemistry will be with Jurko when Laurence is filling in for Mac?

They should team him up with Mike North.

I have noticed lot of guys on this board have a hard-on(latent homosexuality) for Laurence.

If a guy is giving you a noticeable hard-on, then I'd say your homosexuality isn't very latent.

Some guys discover their gayness late in life which leads to the "late tent"
aspect.

I would think Keeping Score would be all over the hard-on...discussion.

I guess the Score has an option on Larry every year. Because it seems like Larry proudly announces a contract extension annually.

Beardown, I don't think The SCORE reveals how much $$$$ their hosts earn annually. Besides, terms of such deals aren't exactly disclosed.

You all forget Larry is a bundled deal. He eliminates the need hire fill ins many days a week, he is an alleged Bears beat guy and while I don't like listening to his shows because I think his thoughts are empty and his ideas suck, he is actually better than anyone else they give shows to outside of drinky.

Finfer would do a better job and would probably do a night time show and produce Mac's if they let him.

However, it is time to start trying some new people out at night that might not be with the station right now as the station just need some new blood, with an edge.

I just can't stand listening to 20 somethings try and tell me about football, or how diehard of a cubs fans they are after 10 years of watching bad baseball.

From what I have heard about recent signings of others, I am sure it was a good deal for the Score.

What? Wayne Randazzo does nothing for you? All kidding aside, The SCORE should be trying out new guys not just at night, but also on the weekends, too.

Among the guys doing live & local shows on weekends when there's no play-by-play...Randazzo, Ben Finfer, Mike Esposito, Matt Rodewald, "SCORE Search" winner Steven Berger, Nick Shepkowski & 670thescore.com Webmaster Adam Hoge? Really?

I know The SCORE is owned by CBS, and they carry CBS Sports Radio to fill some of the gaps twice a week overnights & occasionally on weekends, but C'MON MAN! Spend some of the network's $$$$ and bring in fresh, new voices that Scoreheads might actually like.

Can I get a ballpark figure of terms, bryan or Ken? They had to have paid a premium to lock him up for several years and there was obviously a raise from the previous contract

Most likely went from 250K to roughly 295K a year, according to my sources...

I can't see a night time guy making 75k+, that's why he has so many other jobs in my opinion.

I'm guessing 95k + 750 everytime he fills in.
