He runs a vegan tea-and-pastries shop in Highland Park. If he was a Sox fan, they kicked him out.

Corgan attended game 1 of the White Sox/Red Sox DS in 2005. I was in his suite. He was pretty quiet, so I don't think he "rooted" for the Sox.

He's had a few good ones. High Fidelity is his best..I got no beef with any bandwagon jumpers..I just jumped on the Blackhawks 5 years ago.

Highland Park and Deerfield is White Sox country!

They are broken down into 4 groups.

1. Investors
2. Relatives of Investors
3. Friends of Investors and Relatives
4. Guys who think being a Sox fan gets them street cred in Highland Park/Deerfied.

Deerfield Sox country
HP: Cubs country
At least up until I left HP in 96. Post 96? Don't know. Plus, Corgan is not from HP.
Nick Offerman is the real deal.
I love elitism.

I can recall Kerr & Perdue attending games regularly. Hell, Kerr event went to Cub games in San Diego when he was running the Suns.

Don't let Derrick Rose anywhere near Wrigleyville. If anybody was going to get hit by a foul ball, bitten by a rat, knocked out by a splintered bat, trip over one of the foul lines or get splashed in the eye by a drunk trough leaker, it would be him. He'd be on the DL for two years.

You have to let Robert Zemeckis in. Is Harrison Ford a Cubs fan? Be nice to have Han Solo here.

Do lots of people in Deerfield feel comfortable with how "rich and smart" the White Sox are?

Probably. But it's the whole package of Bernstein: Love of basketball, the foodie crap, club hockey, Really. Smart. Lawyers., quiet reflection, camp.
He just needs to be walking out of Deerfield Bakery going to Tony's subs to complete the picture.

The only thing missing is his insistence on being in the city to show he can be urban.
