i'm thinking she's channeling her great amount of anger of dealing with racism and of being marginalized in japan. the japanese are homogenous and proud of that fact. even half japanese/half korean-chinese-filipino have 'special' names. japanese immigration at minute levels/great scrutiny. i believe the japanese will not accept muslim immigrant applicants. it's not good to be any minority in japan.

julie is picking up on this and naturally steers this as if the usa has done great harm to this tennis player - due to the fact osaka is half asian/half black and a female.

Ramirez ( whom I really liked ) was pretty much acknowledged didn’t hustle all the time by everyone. Didn’t know pointing that out is “ racist”. Castro often didn’t have his head in the fucking game . Also pretty much universally acknowledged . I do remember Brenly tearing Ben Davis ( white) apart for bunting on Schilling breaking up the no-hitter as well.
