Kind of difficult to put a positive spin on Bauer's purported plan to plead the 5th Amendment. Maybe it is a tactic to throw off the accuser's counsel in advance of the examination?

early discovery before the inevitable civil suit? maybe they thought Bauer's "dream team" could discredit his accuser in this hearing and choke out inchoate criminal/civil proceedings in the crib. Bauer hired Shawn Holley and apparently Bauer's agent does criminal defense as well? Attack dog criminal defense attorneys for a family court proceeding. Looks like it mostly backfired.



Bauer's accuser acquitted herself quite well on the stand. And now that she's had one go round/W against Bauer's defense team she'll be even better equipped to deal with them in any future litigation.

I think if Bauer blows off this restraining order hearing the most that can issue is a renewable 1 year restraining order. Bauer showing up and challenging it allows the judge to extend to 5 years. The restraining order is mostly irrelevant at this point. Bauer forcing the hearing and putting his accuser through the ringer for 3 days on the stand probably gave a DA considering charges confidence that the accuser will hold up testifying in any criminal proceeding.

So you're saying the reporter is not "versed in law" and was naively impressed/persuaded by Bauer's lawyer, implying the law was clearly on the side of the accuser...and yet Bauer won.
