You may be correct about that, but it's clear that most criticism of her is based on what she tweets, her "reporting", and the way she looks rather than her updates.

is that defending or just statements of fact? you could make all those arguments and still come to the conclusion it was wrong to use the gay slur? or is this line of thinking considering defending too?

I'm curious how Julie and Lil Danny will react when a member of the Cubs uses a slur or is accused of something. I am not defending Shaw in any way, shape or form, just curious if they would go after someone on the Cubs the way they would from a team not on their station.

Does anyone remember, about six years ago, when (I think) Gordon Beckham wrote "GAY" in the infield dirt as a message to his counterpart on the other team? I guess it was still OK at that time, or at least didn't spark the kind of reaction it does now, and Bernstein shrugged it off as no big deal.

Since he's now as SJW and it's a hockey player I'm guessing Dan will have a different take today. He can call hockey fans racists and homophobes!

The fact that the Hawks haven't said anything about Shaw yet today is shocking to me.

So is she a reporter or a columnist? An update person or a host? She blurs the line between both as so many today. Just report what's going on without opinion if you're trying to act as a reporter. I skipped the Score during Lent...seriously, I gave that up for Lent. I've listened the last week and have read and contributed to the DiCaro thread, that's on me. With this Shaw thing I'm full on out. He deserves punishment and done. He doesn't need to be the whipping boy for a team these SJW's dislike. I like Mully and Hanley and that's about it, outside of Cubs games in the car it's music now and the rest. It's going to be hard to stay out of this thread because it has car wreck attributes, but this is no longer the voice of the fan and I don't need to listen.

Yeah, took a quick look. Looks like The Game ended in December 2014 and Boobgate was March 2015.

Also, rereading that Twitter exchange, Spiegel got a pretty bad rap on that one. He really never said anything about her boobs unless there was something later, which I kind of remember there might have been. But, if this (below) is really all of it, it's all Bernstein.

was there ever an understanding met, or honorary ignorance? if not, i kind of feel there should be. if it happens on the field, court, rink, in between the lines of the game then no one can be upset about it. but if its social media, interviews, raging benders on $1.00 shot night at Bill's House of Liquor..then theyre fair game. At least until sports and society catch up to one another.
