A selection of Julie's tweets on March 25th, 2015, the day of "Boobgate" (the 25th was also the day George McCaskey said dumb things about rape and DV vis a vis Ray McDonald):

Thank God we have all these Bears beat reporters to break down DV and sexual assault cases for us. (rolls eyes)

Really counting on @dan_bernstein to renew my faith in Chicago sports radio. Don't let me down, Dan.

Thank GOD for Dan & Terry. @Boers_Bernstein
[Her twitter went silent right around the time "Boobgate" was happening around 9:30 PM, with her last tweet at 9:27, didn't tweet again until the following morning]
A selection of Julie's tweets the day after "Boobgate":

You know what's awesome? Waking up after a night struggling with a fever to see strangers calling you names for something someone else said.

"My words are my responsibility. It's entirely on me. I own it. I wish I would have had a second thought about sending it." @dan_bernstein

I was disappointed in what @dan_bernstein tweeted, but he's still one of the few in sports media who calls out teams over treatment of women

I listened today, thought @dan_bernstein's apology was sincere.

The problem of misogyny in sports media in this town is a big one. Won't change until more women are working alongside men.

FWIW. Dan said he's not deleting his tweets because he's not going to pretend he didn't say it. His way of owning it.

It's a sad truth that, no matter what industry you're in, men will still find a way to rate you on your looks. Saw a ton of it in radio.

RT @Hecky1013: @JulieDiCaro if only there had been a sports radio station w/ women in the studio alongside w/ men and giving great analysis

RIP 87.7 The Game
So, the night before 87.7 The Game--heretofore Julie's employer--goes dark, Dan Bernstein goes on a misogynistic twitter streak. The next day (JDC was conspicuously silent the night-of), Julie's first tweets about the subject were not about what was said, how bad it is, how bad it is from an afternoon drive time host with 40k+ twitter followers in a major market like Chicago, but about the apology from the man who reduced a woman's value to the size of her breasts. She was hired by TheScore the next month.
For a benchmark, here was Julie's response, about a month ago, to Dino Costa saying women have "no place in legitimate sports talk radio":

And of course, he has a bible quote in his bio. As required.

Gonna guess this is the most attention #TeamDino has gotten for anything...ever.
