Feder said their was a press conference today to announce the local boy getting the 2-4 shift?

Not on their website. Who got it?

Better question, what local media would attend this press conference?

Who is the cracker hosting 2-4? Or is it Goff?

Why did they say they would announce it and not do it?

1) It's not Goff.

2) Because Matt Dubiel is a dumb carny.

Fuck it, I'm a fan, at least of their social media. They have found and harpooned a massive whale on Twitter

I flip around between 670, 1000, and 1530, but have been listening to 1530 a little more than the other two. Dan Patrick and Rich Eisen have pretty good shows. I'm not crazy about Colin Cowherd but sometimes I find myself listening to him more than what is on 670 or 1000.

Yeah, I've been a fan of Dan Patrick's show for quite a while now. I don't even think of tuning in to 670 from 8-11.

His "boyquarium" of producers, etc. who contribute to his show are pretty good. That can be intrusive on other shows but it seems to work well on Patrick's show.

Did the station go belly up already? There is silence on AM 1530 and the stream is not working.

you gotta love how @ https://www.wckg.com/listen/ the "this is the live stream of WCKG" link links to the picture that you see, and below the gap where you assume some sort of java/script player should load up there's another link to listen live.... right to the page you're already on!

even if you do a website on the cheap can't you do a little better than that?

Their website is embarrassing. Even if they used free templates there had to have been something that looks better than that.

A whole station dedicated to Zoltar's Industrial Zone would be my preference. Failing that, bring back 92.7 The Bear.

I have been trying to track down WCBR airchecks or even playlists for years now with very little luck. All I've found was a reunion show that some of the hosts did on Northwestern radio a few years ago and now the link is dead. All I remember was they talked about liking the song "Reservation Road" by Bill Miller. It is pretty good in that thoughtful '90s adult-album-alternative way.

If I ever won the lottery, I'd buy 106.7 and use that as a personal toy and beam Tindersticks and Afghan Whigs songs to the northwest burbs.

Hey, link is back, http://wnur.radiospace.org/folk/audio/archive/WCBR.mp3 if anyone else wants to check it out.

His station used to carry Glenn Beck and Alex Jones. He probably can't park his car in his garage because it's packed with pallets of brain pills.

AM1530 has been running infomercials on the weekends for Dr. Thomas Incledon and his "Man Packs" instead of their regular or semi-regular programming which isn't very good, but I still found it odd that those informercials would run pretty much all day. This morning they're running those infomercials instead of The Dan Patrick Show, which is kind of surprising. I wonder what's going on?
