She was good. The best female I've heard on either station.

She was fine, nothing special and utterly forgettable.

Her sunday morning baseball show was excellent. I liked Julie but she went bonkers.

It was fine. Let's not rewrite the past.

She wasn't anything special, but she was still the best female on either station. There's Julie....and Peggy Kusinski....THAT'S IT. Very short book.

There was another picture of the woman in the second pic passed out drunk, leaning on Leery's shoulder, and Leery had a creepy grin on his face.

I think the reason women don't get creeped out by him is that they know he is into men.

And this is why the target demo for advertisers is getting their content from Barstool instead.

Could be. When he used to talk about women in magazines, TV shows, etc., who would "get it" he sounded like he was trying way too hard to prove he's hetero.

Judging by Twitter, a large percentage of the crowd were indeed twitch users.

I don’t want to steal Clawmaster’s bit, but it seems like the only way 670 can drum up interest is to talk about the past and people who used to competently host sports radio shows.

I listened quite a bit from 2pm to 5pm. It was meh. I did enjoy the Jiggs interview. But a score anniversary party without Mac is completely stupid.

No Mac, Murph, or North. Terry couldn't get 2 words in. But heavy Parkins, Bernstein & Larry rotten stench.

All they have to do to stand out from webios or chgos or barstool or podcasts is take more calls, which they refuse to do. Even though they have a weekly segment laughing about how much fun it was when they did.

That pretty much sums up the board.

Sounded like they tried to get Murph but he wanted no part of it. North is doing stuff on 1000 and didn’t want to conflict.

But it seemed like management wanted no part of Mac being there which is completely idiotic.

Yeah, the hosts clearly wanted Mac but apparently the bridges are still smoldering.

As for Murph, I’m kind of surprised he wouldn’t come on. Speigs has no issue with him and he doesn’t know Parkins. He wouldn’t have to deal with Boers or Mac and he could have phoned in like Jiggetts, told a few stories and perhaps mended some fences. He clearly doesn’t have that in him. Kind of a shame.

Terry sounded a little hoarse. Didn't sound as good as he did on Mac's podcast a few months ago. Hope he is alright.

The best part was when Boers, Bernstein, Tranny and Drinks were all together. It really felt like B&B. Drinks could still be a good producer if he wanted. Hell, he'd be a better host than half the bums on the station currently.

Les' son Scott on with M & H at the party. He really fawns over Mitch Rosen and the Score. Strange with Mac & others verifying Les had no health insurance and a paltry salary from the Score. Scott even had to set up a GoFundMe page for the funeral and quickly cashed it out. Guessing the Score threw a couple of thousand Scotts way towards the funeral to quell any bad blood and be guaranteed Les' family doesn't bad mouth him and the Score for treating Les like garbage. Scott is making himself seen makes sense sounds like he wants to start moving some of Les' memorabilia.

They fucking didn't invite Mac? That's bad.

North at 1000 means he can't go.

I understand why Murph would decline. Everybody rips on him there. Why would you want to go to a party where everybody hates you? It would just be fucking awkward. Of course he's not gonna go.

Definitely the worst and creepiness of the anniversary parties. Downplaying past hosts, emphasizing insignificant nobody producers to kill time, self glorification of current hosts, inflating Larry's nothing impact. Its pretty obvious the station is barren of quality hosts since Mac left. The lack of any content deemed by the consensus opinion as "best of" since Terry & Mac left is telling.

I enjoy Bernstein's annual praise of management and all its brilliant moves. Mitch makes the call to Bernstein when he is feeling bad about himself:

I know not everyone agrees but I think Parkins is really the only attitudinal link to the golden age that is currently broadcasting. He listened and was a fan back then.

Bernstein listened and always wanted to tear it down.

I agree and I think he and meatpants have created a pretty good show that comes from that link. Meatpants has links to that timeframe as well. I have been as hard as anyone on spiegs but he has found a good place with Parkins, and while I detest their social justice moments for the most part they have an entertaining show.

North was an on-air guest on previous Score anniversary parties during his current stint at ESPN 1000. Coincidence more no-shows since it came out Les was shit on by his fellow Score "brethren" that contributed to his demise?

I completely agree with this, although I attribute the success of the show entirely to Parkins, who often discusses his admiration for the early Score, has studied how to replicate its formula, and is the show's major conceptual driver. Spiegel is merely along for the ride and will do anything to keep himself on the air. He has no ideas, no interesting thoughts, and no identity other than being a finger rather than a thumb guy.

No doubt Parkins is the main reason for this.

But Spiegal was mature enough to take his demotion last time like a man. He did fill in work when needed and seems to have grown up. Unlike Goff would just resorted to crybaby time.
