Whether or not you like Murph, he's staying. Having said that, should they just keep the 12p-2p show with just Murph, or would it be better if they gave him Fred or maybe Doug Buffone? Was the Murph and Fred show any good, and is it possibly it would be ok in a two hour format during the midday? |

I think Murph would be terrific with the midnight shift. Just think of all the calls Mr. thin skin could take, now that's entertainment!! |

I was thinking this morning and seriously, I have no idea why Fred has a job in radio. He brings aboslutely nothing to the table and has the personality of a tree sloth. He constantly rags on hip-hop, but then I hear him mocking REM when they were talking about the R&R HOF. So what DO you listen do Fred? Leo Sayer? Glen Miller? Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass? I'm surprised he's married too, he reminds me of Millhouse's dad on the Simpsons. Come to think of it, has anyone actually seen "Pat" before? |

Quote: I was thinking this morning and seriously, I have no idea why Fred has a job in radio. He brings aboslutely nothing to the table and has the personality of a tree sloth. I understand what you mean about Fred. He's very "blah" and rarely does or says anything thought-provoking or insightful. He's a good update guy and that's it. Even when he was on with Murph, he was still a sidekick - just not as much of a yes man. He doesn't seem to like anyone or anything (like Terry), however Fred has ZERO personality and ZERO sense of humor (unlike Terry). Even Murph has some personality. I say let him continue doing his updates and leave talk show hosting to those more qualified. Quote: Come to think of it, has anyone actually seen "Pat" before?
Funny SNL sketch, bad movie. But back then Julia Sweeney looked pretty good outside of the Pat costume. |

I certainly didn't mean for this to turn into a Fred and wife ripping session. I'm not a fan of him, but I think we can leave his wife out of it... regardless of how funny the photos and comments were, regardless at how much I laughed at them. |

I dont think we were that mean towards Pat and plus, Fred is always ripping on woman and their looks, so he leaves himself open. I dont see were we were really that bad, i do agree though, funny stuff. |

I actually didn't mind Murph and Fred. It wasn't Hall of Fame radio by any means, but you didn't stick pencils in your ear to stop the sound. I enjoyed the Limerick Lounge. I also enjoyed their talks with Jimmy Piersall. |

I liked his evening show for the first couple of months too. Since then it has been shotgun to the head radio for me. The question is, what precipitated this question being asked? Fred's there because Buffone didn't want to do an early morning shift again (which I can understand -- getting up at 3am has to get real old, real fast) Unless, someone here is thinking North's going away in a short timeframe... Like, next week or something... |

I didn't see an option to send Murph over to WGN. Damn. Wish that could happen. Front |

He's not signing his name, he's commanding you to put up a facade in urban slang and neglecting to punctuate. Duh. |

Good point, Nas. I keep forgetting it shows poster on the site. Guess I'm "old school" from the days you had to dig to find who posted what. Force of habit. |

Any discussion of family members who do not incorporate themselves into a show is a low blow. I would encourage BigFan to delete this thread. |

I agree with good dolphin and bad Doctor. Posts like that sully the fine reputation of this board. This is how we get labeled as "pants around the ankles cretins". I don't mind the "pants around the ankles" part, but I take offense at being called a cretin. I've never even been to Crete. |
