It's like a Drinky reunion show. They are reliving their individual histories.

I made it through the first 70 minutes. Not sure I remember much of what was said.

Pretty sure Drinky will be leaving some history out.

Beerdown: Did he discuss why he's a dumb ass? Think about it. Cuz that's what he is. A dumb ass.

So he quit the SCORE because he was sick of talking sports. Then he takes a local sales job for a suburban newspaper. Selling advertisement. The Journal. It's in a few suburbs. I'm aware of it. Quits that job after 20 days for a sales job selling health supplies or something like that.

That's cool. Do what you want.

But I'd rather be in an air conditioned studio for 5 hours reading the stupid updates twice an hour then traveling in a car for 8 hours trying to sell vitamins.

Sick of sports talk? I'd be more sick of convincing people to buy vitamins. That's just me.

I would also think there is more money reading updates then selling health stuff.

Good for you, drinky. Good luck. 100% of the people doing your current job would trade for a 5 hour day doing sports updates.

I think he's gonna regret his decision.

My guess is he keeps changing jobs searching for something fulfilling. He'll eventually get an oppourtunity in sports media and jump back in.

It's not the worst midlife crisis a guy could have.

 "Sick of talking sports" = Was passed over more times than I can count . You guys really think he still quits if he gets Goffs gig? or Parkins? More bullshit from a garbage human being.

But is he ever gonna get something better then full time update anchor, in afternoon drive, at a successful radio station? No way. So why quit something to circle back to get something lessor?

If he hasn't gotten offers for something bigger in sports media to this point, it's not gonna happen now.

I'm still thinking there is more to this story. He quit. Yes. But maybe he was politely asked to quit to save face for some indiscretion. Mitch gave him that courtesy.

"I just got sick of sports".

That doesn't make sense to go from a good/easy job to selling vitamins.

I doubt drinky would have said selling vitamins is better then talking sports 4 months ago. I don't know of anybody that would say that.

Something happened. No doubt about it. He did something wrong. Drinky made it sound too simple. It couldn't have been that simple.

He got passed over and decided to leave. Happens all the time. The folks around the office know he's inadequate and that shame causes pain.

His real mid life crisis is Ice Girl. But she seems like fun and is hot.

Passed over for talk shows, yes, but he got a full time update anchor gig. Joe O was thrilled to get it. Jeff Joniack is happy to do it for 780. He's done it for years. It's not a bad gig. Same with 780's morning update guy. It's better then driving around all day selling health crap.

No. This doesn't pass the spell test. Something ain't right. Something went wrong and there was an arrangement to not make it public.

Thank you. I actually figured it out. I've got it. I'm gonna crack a beer. I do better after a few beers. I'll explain it in a new thread. B&G section. Wait for it.

I was agreeing with you because you screwed up the idiom, you dumb shit.

I'd probably pass on the beers. It will only make it worse.

I listened out of pity.

If you listen to the first 15 min or so he shits all on the score.

Biggest news was he said when he was on Murph's show, he would tell the management he was quitting the upcoming Friday because he could not work for Murph any longer. That went on for 2 years! LOL! Not the first guy I've heard say that about Murph. And I'm a big Murph fan.

Said he loved Bernstein but he was also the biggest turd of all time.

Listen to that first 15 min, it was great!

Never heard either of these guys before so mines a fresh take.

I was pleasantly entertained!

Reminded me of early score days. Both of these guys sound fresh and full of passion.

No wonder these guys never got a shot at the score - they've got a pulse!

I've been around here for a long time and still have no idea if Beardown is a real person or not. Because if he is, I'm terrified.
