Only a 33 minute podcast after the NFL's opening weekend. Guest was Roman Modrowski. I'm not really sure I'll continue to go out of
my way for this. Love Danny Mac but just not really digging this medium. Not long enough and not enough other personalities to
bounce thoughts and ideas off of. So far it is just kinda MEH....

The hardest thing to do is to keep doing it, and not overdo it and burn yourself out. Or want to take a vacation.

33-35 minutes is probably the right length for now. To get to 40-42, he probably needs two guests or a co-host, and he's said there's no money for anything including a co-host.

I'm looking at it as "Mac is interviewing 2-3 guests a week" as opposed to "Mac is putting up with Speigs and stupid callers." But he's not going to get a Mike Florio this season the way the Score can for a weekly segment. Now one can argue that interviewing is Mac's weakest skill...

Yeah, this seems like a money grab from Mac. Doing all of 30 minutes doesn't seem worth it. It should be at least 90 minutes to 2 hours.

A money grab? There's no money to be had. It's a showcase for a gig and a weekly paycheck.

Exactly Dennisdman. Money grab. That's funny.

Hey even Danny Mac knows it's "Dennis". My guy!

yeah he's probably making nothing off of this. Very few people make money off of sports podcasts, especially if it's pigeon holed into local coverage.

Mac is keeping his "instrument" sharp, if it blows up and provides a living, fantastic.

The only thing that confuses me is the backend: What's the upside? Because apparently, there is no shortage of offers, so if not to generate offers for the talent (because they're already there, not because he's doesn't deserve them m, especially given the dregs of sports talk content in this town), what's the payoff?

I enjoyed it when he brought a partner in.

Mac, solo radio sucks regardless of how good the host is. You should know this. More time with a partner should be allocated. Other than that, good stuff

That's because podcasts suck and nobody listens.

I'll give it a spin tonight. However, 30 minutes is too short. Stretch the puppy out. Mac definitely needs someone to bounce things off. I'm not a fan of the solo host style to begin with. I like a little back and forth and conversation.

Listened to 9/14 show today.

Liked it - missed Dan's voice.

Danny Mac, I see that Artie Lange is also a member of your hosting site - you should have him on regularly and vice versa.

Missed it today. I think he had Kass on. What did they talk about?

Terry was on today, so I had to check in. I guess I expected Terry to cut loose more considering the format, but he really didn't.

However, the chemistry between both guys was very obvious and real. These guys could step right in and have a very good show on the Score again.

I listened to the 9/11 show last night flying back to Chicago on my short Austin-Dallas leg. But I was really tired and I don't really care about NFL minutia, so I fell asleep about halfway through Roman Modrowski's segment and woke up for the last two minutes of the podcast.

Good show today. Terry was good and sounds like he's holding nothing back in the book.

Kass went in strong on the imminent demise of the NFL as the juggernaut it is.

To the contrary, it sounded (on SCR yesterday) as if he will be giving Bernstein a pass.

Maybe four years ago (man does time fly) the Score switched their mid-day and afternoon guys for one day, with Terry broadcasting with Mac and Dan with Spiegs. While I have always liked Terry, my impression was the two were awkward together. I never heard them when they were together when the Score started, but usually tuned in to hear North and Doug. However, if Terry became more of a regular on Mac's podcast, I would listen, because it beats anything else on right now. That's because Chicago sports radio is dead. There is a dearth of talent, and no one has stepped up to replace the legends.

I did enjoy listening to Hamp and O'B for the Bears-Bucs postgame, if for nothing else, than the fire and the passion. They just completely unloaded on the Bears, and especially Glennon and Fox.
