Did anyone stop calling 93.9 the Lite FM? I didn't. But oof, what a bad logo. Optima in any weight heavier than Book is atrocious! Come on!

Never knew it changed.

It changed about four years ago. I think iHeart really wanted to roll out a "My FM" brand for adult contemporary around the country but either gave up on it or it didn't take. They thought the Lite brand was getting a little un-hip, which it was, but 93.9 had either been soft AC or easy listening since pretty much forever, so why bother? Un-hip is just what that frequency is.

They should try programming it as a really boring mom station again, at least it would be different from 100.3 and the Mix.

Same here -- always refered to it as the Lite and was never corrected by anybody in the past four years. Granted, my total references to it probably averaged around two per year.

They practically hit budget for the year on what they bill for nine weeks of all-Christmas.

There can't be anybody listening to non stop xmas music 7 weeks before xmas.

Well, then you've really gotten to the bottom of something, because the PPMs are picking something up. From 11/03/16-11/30/16, 93.9 had a 6.3, up from a 2.9 and 3.1 in the months prior.

There obviously is because they have been doing in for years.

It’s the highest ratings they get all year , every year .

Probably higher ratings than Goff and Bernsie.

I'm surprised they don't sell that concept even more by having June 25th halfway to Christmas and other such events. See how far you can push it before there is public blowback.

I seem to remember them starting Christmas music the week after Halloween one year after a snowfall with consistently good ratings.

Are you even in touch with reality sporadically?

Like CH said, there ratings are thru the roof in November and December every year.

You make it seem like the only people who listen to this are crazy soccer moms (probably yours) who are sitting in a dark kitchen listening to Christmas music a radio.

People driving in cars put the xmas songs on all the time, and stores pump the xmas music on their speakers for the entire month.
