I enjoyed listening to Baum & Co but I never realized how much I would miss him until I tried to listen this morning.
Guys pay attention to who is listening. This isn't drive time where the audience is turning over every 30 minutes or so. You don't need to play the same drops over & over (Don't you think the "What do you think is wrong?!?" drop 5 times in 10 minutes is a bit much for 7:30 am on a Saturday?)
Baum and Co never was anything special but at least they understood the audience and how to do a long form show. You hit the nail on the head with Larry and ZZZzzz not knowing their audience. People listening on the weekends spend a lot more t ime listening and the audience doesn't turnover.
His whole show stinks of college radio with no direction at all. I would love to see Larry sitting down with Zzzz and saying, "I have this GREAT idea, its called free-for-all...its new, edgy, and will have the people talking!"
I do love Larry's huge ego. Where did this guy get so much confidence? Might have been from his huge AIR award
