Seems like if Steve would get some livelier co-host(s) it would pick the show up. But, the two guys with him have been with him awhile. It's just Steve getting dryer talking to even more dry guys. I'll peek at dahls site and the premium package has gone up to $10.95. When he first started his podcast it was free with advertising. He'd have interesting sports guests like thayer and joniak, and a lot of TV news people. Larry was on when he was young and Dahl woul be mocking him how motor mouthed he was. The free version podcast was still great radio. Now, I'll dabble listen doing the laundry for a minute but it's pretty bad. It was interesting when he was sick getting updates and all were rooting for him to get better. When he seriously fought the battle of the bulge that wasn't bad radio. I still think Bob and Marianne had a better show mixing various current topics, interesting guests with funny stuff about their lives. I read in the spring they sadly were in foreclosure. There's got to be somebody Dahl could team up with but I bet he could be a bastard to work with. On Mac's old podcast dahls old partner Bruce wolf was on and said he and Dahl fought a lot after the beginning. Speaking of Mac's old podcast am I the only one who thought it was hugely better than m&p. Even North's podcast wasn't bad even with a yesman kid co-host. I give anything Dahl does a quick courtesy peek now & then in thanks for all the great radio in the past. But, sadly there's no reason to go beyond that. |

I think Dahl might have done something called "Disco Demolition"? Either that or mis-heard him the 8,789 times he's mentioned it over the years... |

I switch over to Dahl when the two sports stations are boring (often) He's not terrible. Kind of a funny show. |

Yes Dahl is and always been a show that you are just listening on random stuff. It is either for you or not. not much in between. |

I think Buzz Killman would be a good sidekick but the Dahl days are over. His show doesn't suck but he really is just playing out the string now. I can't construct loyalty for a Dahl who plays golf. |

Brendan makes that show unlistenable. |

IIRC, they were paired as morning hosts on WMVP and Dahl wasn't comfortable talking sports to the degree it was expected. He also didn't care for Wolf disappearing to do TV spots on WFLD.

Never occurred to me how many bands in Chicago were trying to recapture that album in the 90's. |

The Shoes, The Boolevards, Material Issue, etc. I would say Dag and Jeff Lescher are a cut above all the rest as songwriters though. |

I have an old friend from school whose occupation is as a singer. She seems to be booked frequently but just at little venues. I just assumed her entire existence was being supported by her wealthy lawyer father and ex husband architect. |

"need to launch Brendan" Absolutely. He ruins the show. Whenever I tune in, It's Steve doing an impression of Brendan only to be interrupted by Brendan doing an impression of himself - WTF? What a moron. |
