I was listening to Spiegel and Shep this morning. Spiegel now seems to have supplanted Rozner as the first guy off the bench for fill-in work. Do you prefer Rozner or Spiegel? I would much rather have Meatpants than "we're not that far away!" and the Chicago plan for baseball optimism.

Is there a 3rd option?

It doesn't look like it, at least not recently. Who would you rather see?

Yeah third option is suicide. And it is the best option. Rozner is a fucktard.

I’d rather see a 90 year old dude naked than listen to Roz boy.

It's a marvel that Rozner has been given so much air time over the years. He has the face for radio, but that is completely canceled out by his lack of a voice for radio.

I didn't dislike Rozner, he's one of the few people who calls Bernstein on his BS so Bernstein tends to not even go down that road when paired with him, but I don't miss hearing him, either. He hasn't been on for so long I jind of forgot about him.

I know denis misses him...

I might be able to help you out with that, Denny. As long as you’re a bit flexible on age. What’s it worth?

Just so you know, $52 ain’t going to do it.

Once Spiegel got over the demotion, he has been pretty good.

You'd have to pay us to see you naked.

Spiegel replaces the next person to get fired or not renewed.

I’m too cheap for that. I was just hoping I could do a little subcontracting with deep pockets Denny.

You know, get a little Christmas money for the three kids.

Laurence. He's gone down a path I had hoped he wouldn't, and you can't have the part time evening host starting passive aggressive beef on the air and in the hallways with your afternoon drive golden child all the time while he practices his "art".

I came here specifically looking to see what Denis would have to say about Rozner....

Couldn't agree more about Laurence. I think Spiegel in that slot would be good. Some shows longer than other and hes creative enough (and knowledgeable enough about his role) to fill different shows with different material, guests, bits etc. "Oh, I have a half hour tonight, heres what we're gonna do..." type shit. Laurence just presses play on a don cooper interview from M&Haugh and once its over tells us how it was "reeeely good stuff there, from COop"

god, he sucks.

Anthony Herron hopefully, I can't stomach Rozner or Meatpantz

Rozner solo is great sports radio. Tremendous baseball insight, and stories. Speigel is unlistenable.

Hi Mitch! Glad your keeping a pulse on the city of Chicago and sports. McNeil for the stretch run we need HFC old school SCORE.

Herron is a good fill in person, but not fulltime. Rozner fit at the old Score, but not now.

That fucker Roz man has been writing one back handed article after another about the Bears. Even when he gives credit, there are major slights about all sorts of things.

Now the Herald has this football picks contest going on. Roz is actually leading the whole thing among the contestants. He was the only guy to pick the Lions this week. The Bears win brought me that ever so tiny extra but of satisfaction knowing he lost.

He did this crap the entire Lovie era.

I love that he is the Score’s full in bitch du jour.

Out of curiosity, what makes Meatpants a better fit for Saturdays and Rozner a better fit for weekdays?

I don't think they demoted him and sent him on this months long odyssey just to give him another prime slot. His recent resurgence is just the powers that be trying to get some labor for their money. My guess is he's out as soon as his contract is up.

I would have guessed Mulli, but Laurence is not a bad choice. Now that they have the Bulls, in addition to the Cubs, why do they even need a regular host in that slot? Laurence is almost never on anyway. Shep can just stay on and fill-in when it's a half an hour or hour show, and the one time a week it's a full show, you can have Spiegel, Rozner, Herron, Julie (yes, I know), etc. just do the show.
