His column was way out there a lot, but still an interesting read. Unique, listenable, when on the score. Has some good stories.

That's a shame.

Good sense of humor on that guy.

Never minded him or his style. Better than Mariotti style for sure.

I’m guessing that plane he is boarding is headed for Buffalo where he’s joining the cold case team to finally put Patrick Kane behind bars where he belongs .

He did kill Wannstadt and Bears with the 'All Pieces are in Place' quote. His snark may have occasionally been over the top, but we was usually not far off the truth. If I had to compare his bad sports quips to other sports writers (Haugh, Telander etc.) his wins over replacement sportzwriter was a definite plus. I believe he was spot on more than hanging in left field. That was a good run.

Was it Rosie that was HOV (Hair of Vastness) Positive on the old Heavy Fuel Crew show? Can't remember.

Just a long-standing hypothesis by many on the board. Never verified, but there's a lot to it...

Looks like I’m gonna be taking a trip down the Ed Asner rabbit hole.

You probably won't find much. A bunch of his posts got lost due to board glitches over the years.

As a high schooler I couldn’t wait to read his stuff in the Trib, especially the Wanny era stuff.

I like Rosenbloom, but only in small doses. He was never one of the Sportswriters, but he's closer to that era. He'd be good hosting a show as the Bill Gleason of an old Sportswriters format. Make it be mostly old Jewish codgers like Schuster and Bruce Wolf.

I totally agree. What is this guy's value add exactly? He's not a journalist, he doesn't break any stories, he's not particularly funny, if I want a sarcastic take on sporting events I can come here and get it. I don't understand how he hung on that long.

Yep, fuck this piece of shit. Hope he gets hit by a CTA bus while walking out of the Tribune building carrying his box of personal belongings.
