I don't think I've heard Rozner on the air since the last Hit and Run show at the end of the baseball season. I thought for sure I'd hear him on the Christmas Week Parade of Jews (TM), but nothing. It seems like meatpants has taken his shifts.

Did I miss an announcement, or is he just working somewhere else besides the Herald?

No need to pay Rozner for an extra shift when they have Speigel under contract and need to burn that contract off.

I think it is pretty clear at this point, they are penny pinching.

Rozner is a great fill-in. Hell, he'd be a massive improvement over McKnight. So would Spiegel.

Spiegal with Bensy might work. Spiegal and Parkins was working, I wish they didn't break that up. I just can't do the same 3 jokes out of Rozner 5 days a week...

Rozner should be the scores baseball "go to" guy with his vast experience covering mlb. He is very honest in his Cubs, Theo, Joe opinions though. The days after the Cubs world series win he ripped Joe Maddon mercilessly for his mismanaging blunders. When he's alone he has a great baseball show. A lot of his cronies are guests and it make for great talk.

I think the fact he won't be a Cubs ass kiser apologist plays a lot, maybe not all, into him disappearing or falling out of favor at the score. Speigel will toe the company line. The score has Speigel by the balls, is dirt cheap under contract. So Speigel is now the scores baseball guru shoved down listeners throats.

Especially since McGowan over Cutler has proven to be a defensible opinion.

He wrote an entire article defending Cody Parker Parkey. He just likes to take the devil's advocate position on almost anything. His Bears' articles have been an embarrassment the entire season. Too bad I can't quit the DH. I need to.

Hit and Run during the summer is the best show in town. hands down.

He's fine on Hit and Run, but if I have to hear him more than twice a week I get tired of him. Spiegel is a much better fill-in guy than Rozner.

Rozner can work during baseball season, but for the love of god keep him off the air during football season.

Denisdman-I cancelled the Daily Herald about two months ago. It had been put on or near my driveway going back to the 70's or at least 80's at my parents and then out here. There were too many days when we just threw it, unopened, into recycling. I do miss the ability to find sports on tv today without sifting through a damn grid though. And the Food section.

DH papers are supposed to be 'porched'. You got Mossed.

Used to be a $1 fine for the DH paper'boy' if one of zhers customers called to complain.
