Does he have an actual role at the station beyond doing semi-hourly scoreboard updates? One that he's actually quite adept at, and just does updates for kicks? I can't figure out why he's employed, because if that's all he does, he's not very good at it. |

HIT N RUN greatest disparity between "good idea" and "poor execution", and the weekend show i hear the most on the way to / from my ballgames on the weekends |

When Offman was knocked off doing baseball beat reports for the station, Rosen spinned it by saying, he is the best sports update anchor (not sure if he said in the city or just the station). So naturally, they should use him in the position that he is best at... since he is the best!! Actually, I don't think he's too bad. Kind of dorky, but not holding that against him. |

George is fine doing updates. I would say he and Jesse are miscast doing Hit and Run, but thinking about it more, they are cast perfectly together. |

George has been there since the beginning. I have a hard time criticizing update guys. They are just there. It's tough to srew up " Tonight the Cubs play the Pirates and the Sox play the Mariners." Anybody who is a fan of or hates the update guy has issues. LOL. You just have to have a decent voice and the ability to read without stumbling. George is fine at that. He's been a familiar voice in the afternoon's for 15 years. Minus his two year baseball beat stint. |

I know how much Mac is loved on the board so didn't Mac say Ofman is one of the best update guys in the business in his Dream Chicago Station lineup ? |

Mispronouncing names is different then stumbling. He may mess them up but its still a clean read. It's still a straight flow. |

Always agreed that its stupid to rip a sports update guy or gal... only notable exceptions were Tom Shaer. Shaer as a personality was fine (yes, I am in the minority), but as an update anchor, he was all over the place in the minute and 30 that he had. Juday is a good anchor for the most part... Carmen, JD and Silvy were good in their days as well. |

I believe George just said that Ryan Church played for the Senators. I wonder if he does this stuff on purpose. |
