Mully and Haugh are #5 from 6 to 10 AM, neither Bernstein and McKnight nor McNeil and Parkins crack the top ten in their slots, and I am not sure how to explain Holmes and DiCaro being #6 from 7 PM to midnight.

WGN is #21 overall and WMVP is tied with WFMT at #25. Will they ever shake things up at WMVP?

For WLIT 93.9-FM — and more than three million listeners to the iHeartMedia adult contemporary station — 2018 ended on a high note.

The final weeks of nonstop Christmas music delivered an eye-popping 13.3 percent share and a cumulative weekly audience of 3,065,800 to Lite FM, according to Nielsen Audio figures released Tuesday.

Lite FM also finished first in mornings with Melissa Forman, middays with Robin Rock, afternoons with Mick Lee, and evenings with Delilah.

“Listening to Christmas music on Lite 93.9 is a real Chicago tradition,” said Matt Scarano, president of iHeartMedia Chicago. “We’re thrilled with the amazing results that ‘The Holiday Lite’ has generated once again.”

The station’s 18th annual Yuletide music marathon began November 8 and continued through Christmas Day. The latest survey period ran from December 6 to January 2.

Note: In accordance with Nielsen’s publishing guidelines, I cannot report actual audience shares other than those for the full week (below). For mornings, middays, afternoons and evenings, I can list only their rankings — not specific shares.

mcneil was very proud about beating WMVP 8 of 10 times in the book. but being the tallest midget isnt always the best thing.

Why do we go through this with every Feder ratings report? The 6+ numbers mean very little to WSCR/WMVP and Feder no longer reports on the demo breakdown. Hopefully MAC will be by to summarize the relevant data.

It's radio. 96% of the people listening are over 50

That's a huge underestimate.

Interesting ratings period. Most of the radio personalities are going to be on vacation for at least 1 and possibly 2 weeks. Seems that would make grading the ratings difficult.

Volume of listeners without any demographic breakdown is absolutely useless.

Since this seems to be gay revelation week on the board, here goes: I love listening to Deliliah during Christmas season.

Serious question: since it is an annual ratings juggernaut, why does not even one other station go all Christmas?

After two days of the Lite, I’ve already had my fill of Mariah Carey and George Michaels.

I seem to recall in the past 2-3 stations played Christmas music.

I'd like to see what the ratings are for that format at the beginning of the run. Is it a slow build to huge ratings or do they immediately see the jump when they flip the switch?

I'm really surprised they don't extend the format another week and cut it off December 30 for New Year's party music. I imagine they would be able to pull another week of great ratings with lots of people still doing Christmas type stuff.

Who doesn't?

Just Curious, is "Koz" Kevin Koske's real middle name? or just a nickname?

What a comeback for Roselle's very own, Jumpin Julian Perez!

100.3 tried it a few years ago and not since. Come at the king (of playing "All I Want For Christmas Is You" every hour), you'd best not miss.

93.9 seems to be in a perfect spot on the dial to attract listeners. Buried down near the bottom of the dial so that when grandma and grandpa fire up the radio for the first time in 11 months to get ready for Christmas they only need to go from 89. something to 93.9. It is one of the first stations to come up after hitting seek. There have been others over the years that have tried but I mostly recall those being near the upper end of the dial where it is sometimes harder to find these station or they get bored of hitting seek. I do find myself listening to the Lite when in the car or at work during the season. I dont own a radio at home so it is usually whatever Alexa gives me. I can imagine that it is only a few more years of crazy ratings for them before almost everyone gets Alexa or Hey Google radios.

I don't think mere dial position has that much to do with it. Everyone in Chicago knows 93.9 is the Christmas station. It's that simple. The rest of the year, they're in the big tied-for-whatever blob of FM radio stations.

Siruis had something like 4-5 different Christmas music stations. There is one for classic Christmas songs, one for more modern Christmas songs, one for country, etc.
