Interesting read recently about how Mike McCaskey micromanaged the Bears into irrelevance by insisting the team sign/draft players that were, "signable" or what he viewed as, "character" players, often bypassing players that ended up being Pro Bowlers. Pretty insightful because the Bears were a laughingstock league wide, but none of the hosts would actually say why. Of course, North belittled McCaskey at every opportunity, but no one ever gave specifics. Makes one wonder what other stories have never been told because the station valued the relationship with the team more than telling the whole story. |

dan and teery would shit all over the bears from a safe distance. but never, ever had anything of value to ask or challenge with when they had a guest worth asking. mainly resorted to complaining to Hub or giving ZZ a hard time. |
