whats goin' on with pat? Last night Zaidman was doin the play by play, and I think he did it a couple games before that. I seem to hear more of Zak lately and not Pat. Whats goin' on? Is Pat takin' games off? Is he not healthy? I'm kinda getting worried. |

Pat was back for the Thursday afternoon game, took Tuesday and Wednesday games off after the Monday off day. Just negotiated time off. They said repeatedly during the broadcasts the "Pat is okay, he'll be back for the series finale". |

This guy gets 4 months off every year, how the fuck do you ask for more days off during the season? |

You try singing play by play and see how long you last. |

Pat is a Chicago treasure - leave him alone. ZZ is obviously being groomed to take over. |

And what is with the maniacal cackling every time Pat says something non-baseball related? Is that ZZ or are they pushing a button? |

They need to get the AAA TV guy, Alex Cohen to at least do some of the Monday night games that Pat takes off. (All of the minors are off on Mondays except the week of July 4th.). Cohen did Spring Training games off of a teleprompter with an idiot in Ryan Sweeney doing color and was still better than ZZ. |

he's been making more mistakes than usual - hopefully, just harmless stuff. longevity is nice, i guess it guarantees HOF status. the same low criteria of making 1 all-star game and calling someone an all-star in his title. |

Coomer's career WAR was 1.4 and in the season of his lone all-star appearance, his OPS+ was 87. |

agreed. i had mentioned this about the wscr broadcasting tribunal investigating and condemning schriffen and not zaidman. hughes, well...he's been messing up on the exact baserunners, after a hit and movement on the bases. even if i watch a cubs game, i also try and watch the packaged highlites the next day and you get other team's broadcasters, along with cubs tv and radio. the nuremberg tribunal sent keitel to the gallows, but not field marshals von rundstedt and von manstein nor generaloberst guderion. schriffen or zaidman? hughes is untouchable. he comes off as desperate to make ancillary income off his cubs job, but he's allowed a mistake here and there. |
