I just heard today that Greg Kot is stepping away from the Tribune. I've really enjoyed his work over the years, from the old Sound Opinions show on XRT to his work on the Tribune. Hopefully he still writes for some website/publication that is prominent. |

Lester Bangs was kind of a strange looking dude. If anyone is interested there's a Lester Bangs interview on youtube that's really good. Its from May 1980 and is an hour and a half long. It was done for an Australian radio show. He has some interesting takes that are still relevant today. It might be the only audio interview he ever did that's of any length. |
